I have showing 5d does not spin what does it mean

First, remove the lower panel and clean the drain filter. Try to run it after that and post back your results. BE AWARE! When you open the filter there will be a good amount of water that will come out so have plenty of towels handy or a wet dry vac at the ready!

5D actually means suds, make sure you aren't using normal detergant as these units require 'HE or High Efficiency' detergant that doesn't suds much. Try runing a load with not clothes and just put in a cup of white vinegar to remove all the suds in the machine and see if goes through spin with no suds in. If not and you still get an error you will need to replace the pressure switch because it thinks there is water or suds in the machine it's not removing.

The troubleshooting page in the owner's manual says: 5d "Sd" Suds Detected - Did you use regular detergent? Regular or hand-washing detergents are not recommended for this washer. Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Did you add too much detergent? Always measure detergent. Follow detergent manufacturer's directions. If excessive suds are detected, the washer will display this code while running a suds reduction correction routine at the end of the wash cycle.The susds reduction routine removes extra suds and asures proper rinsing of your garments. If te code remains and the wash cycle dial is flashing after the recovery routine has stopped, re-select your desired cycle using cold water. Press start. Do not add detergent.

sd is suds error. add only HE soap. UL is unbalanced load. watch load size and balancing loads.

i lost the manual , what does "5d" mean when it is

5d is actually SD
it means SUDS
you have suds detected in the pump
Your using too much soap and the machine cannot rinse it
try one load with out any soap
from that load on you should not be using any more that a table spoon per load

5d means the follow; possible causes * If too much detergent was used -Run the unit thrugh a RING/SPIN cycle. -Run a NORMAL cycle with out adding detergent. PROCEDURE * This should clear the unit of execess detergent. 1.- Check the draing hose and male sre it is not plugged or ****. 2 Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3.-Check wires harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and center Cotrol Unit (CCU). 4.- Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects. 5-Plug in washer or reconect power. 6.- Check draing pump. 7.- Check the pressure switch. 8.- Verify CCU operation bu running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.
