I found a remote at Radio shack that has been able to address every electronic gadget in my house. It works with the digital convertor box, the vcr, the TV, the VCR, the DVD, and all of the functions work. There will be some reading you must do to get the new remote to "talk" to all the devices, but with a bit of patience, you will get it done. Hope that helps.

Hard to find new screen....not to mention pricey. If you dont want to buy a new tv try ebay or such for a tv with same model that has a bad power board or another problem besides screen. Switch your parts into other.

The tv was left on and gone off wit a red led showing under the clock on the front of the tv due too the remote being broken we dont know how to put the tv on

On the right side of the tv bazel frame have manual buttons,like a power button,like 2 channels buttons one for up and one for down and a Meneu button.Push the tv manual power button,ur tv should have power and tv will be on.Or try website like Remotes.com to buy a new remote same as ur original tv remote.

Remote control not working

Hi,
It could be either remote is bad or remote sensor located at tv front is not working.
You can test remote with help of any digital camera, watch remote front through camera and press few buttons on remote, you will see infra red led blinking at remote front, that means remote is good and working. Remote sensor in tv is defective and need to be replaced by qualified tech.
If infra red led of remote does not blink pressing any button while watching through digital camera then problem is remote, buy new one to solve the issue.
