You will need a new igniter module. The igniter module is told to spark by the control panel. There is also a flame detection for electronic start and that could be bad too.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Please check this parts image, you will have to test the oven temperature sensor(part#29) and door latch(part#22) before replacing the electronic control(part#33). You can test the temperature sensor first, if it reads between 1080-1120 ohms then it is fine and the electronic control needs replacement. It cannot be the spark module as the stove top works fine and it cannot be the main board as oven and stove top are fine. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Whirlpool Gold range model : GS563LXSS Oven does not spark or light up. Cook top works fine.

I recently has the same issue, on my stove the gas valve worked both burners on top and in oven. and yes with a bad spark electrode what will happen is the bad electrode will send an error message to the valve and the valve will cut off all power to the oven. element which has the bad electrode. I t may not be a bad electrode but like my case a bad control board after checking my board I found the oven element capacitor was burned out. instead of replacing the whole board which can be expensive I bought a capacitor very difficult to find, and soddered it into the board ,

Oven turns off while baking

There is a service flash, W10622771, for gas ranges of your model number--the bake burner ignitor is not lighting the gas--it's a direct spark ignition type. The ignitor is sparking but no ignition. Possible causes are (1) Wiring harness might be pinched between the bake/broil ignitors and the DSI board. (2) DSI mounting bracket may be contacting a solder joint on the back of the board. (3) Positioning of the ignitor and gas burner ignitor ports may be out of adjustment. (4) Ignitor electrode deterioration
Facing the range, the DSI board is behind the control panel on the left side, mounted in the bracket. You'll have to remove the back cover to expose the boards. BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE RANGE BEFORE DOING THIS. I can provide diagnostic mode if you want to proceed further.

Kenmore gas range when no clicking when turning the oven on

Get FREE Standard Shipping on orders of $100 or more. Details
Range: Gas burner won't spark or ignite A surface burner igniter switch and a spark module activate the spark electrode when a burner is turned to the "Lite" position on a gas range's cooktop. If the surface burner switch, spark module or wiring in that circuit fails, the spark electrode won't work, and as a result the gas burner won't light. If those components work but the electrode won't spark, the problem could be that the spark electrode is coated with spilled food of is bent or broken. In addition, the electrode won't spark or ignite the burner properly if the ceramic insulation sleeve below the tip of the electrode is cracked or broken. If the gas burner isn't lighting, these repairs may help.

Replace the spark igniter electrode

1396454293470.jpg The spark igniter electrode-also called the surface burner igniter-is an insulated electrode that provides an ignition spark to light a surface gas burner. It sparks and makes a ticking sound when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the spark ignition electrode if it fails to spark or if the ceramic insulation sleeve is cracked or chipped. How to Replace a Spark Igniter Electrode in a Gas Range Find This Part

Replace the surface spark module

1377098014986.jpg The surface spark module is in the ignition circuit for the gas surface burners. When a surface burner control knob is turned to the "Lite" position, it provides voltage to the spark electrodes on the gas surface burners. If the surface spark module fails to provide the electrodes with voltage, then it should be replaced. Find This Part

Replace the spark igniter switch

1396454315355.jpg The igniter switch is an electrical switch on the stem of the gas surface burner control valve. This switch completes a circuit to the surface burner spark module, causing the burner igniters to spark when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the burner igniter switch if the burners don't spark when you turn the burner control knob to the Lite position or if igniters spark constantly even when the burner knobs are in the Off position.

Kitchenaid kgss907sss neither the broiler nor the oven will heat with fire. the elecricburner does work however but does not heat well enough. i can hear the igniter click once after turning it on but...

For broil burner ignition an oven broiler burner spark electrode is used to ignite the gas. The electrode is a device that sits right next to the broil burner. It functions like a spark plug. As power is applied to it a spark jumps from the spark electrode tip to the to the electrode shield, igniting the gas. If the electrode is broken or worn out the spark may not occur or be intermittent. Visually inspect the electrode assembly for cracks in the porcelain housing or damage to the electrode tip itself. Be aware that a proper ground and the correct polarity of the incoming voltage to the range is necessary for the electrode control to sense the presence of a flame once the burner is ignited.
there is also a spark control module but I don't think that's it usually no spark when bad.
if you need or want parts ck here for your unit.
hope this helps a little

We are cranking up this BRAND NEW Vulcan flat top. Weh have the convection oven below up and running, but we can't even see a pilot light for the flat top. Advice anyone? Culinary-yours Chef Geir

older ovens have pilots but the newer machines are electronic ignition, there are ignitors in the oven and electrodes or ignitors on the top burners, when you turn the knob for the burner you should hear a clicking sound and see a spark around the burner, that's what lites the burner, the gas comes in and the spark ignites it,i don't know much about your machine but it can't be any different from other stoves.if none are sparking there should be a spark module in there or they could have separate modules,if you send the full model number i can look it up for you

My oven doesn't work.

before you replace the control panel, take a quick look inside the oven at the ceramic spark starter.. when you (tyr to) turn your oven on you should hear a bunch of little snap sounds.. sparks trying to light the burners inside the oven..

if you try to use the element (broil) without the gas - you'll get a better bearing on whether or not the gas element(s) are lighting or not inside the oven..

hope that helps..
