I have a proselect thermostat psts11p52 that's 3 months old. So is the furnace. The AC works fine. Today i set the heater because it's cold and the temp stays at 68. These are my steps. - switch to HEAT - press HOLD - hold up arrow till it blinks then change to desired temp. - let go. i check to see and the desired temp is there. - it's been on for 30 min and the draft temp has stayed the same as well the temp on the thermostat. The HOLD shows and HEAT is blinking which I assume means it's heating up. Any ideas?

I'm thinking the heat blinking means its calling for heat and its not completed the Rh to W1 circuit yet. Once the circuit closes, the blinking heat will go steady....usually. Or if the thermostat is satisfied, it will stay steady and not blink...

I guess your thermostat could blink whether its mode is satisfied or not because I am not familiar with that particular stat. You forgot to say if the furnace is gas or electric heat, so if its gas, it sounds like it could have misfired and locked itself out. Go to the furnace, and cycle the power switch that should be mounted on the side. This will reset the controller and give it another attempt at firing correctly. If it continues to lock our after several attempts and you still have no heat, you have no choice but to call for service.

If its an electric furnace, there isn't much you can do but call a technician for a service call.

The roll out switch is a small disc shaped part about the size of a nickle. There may be more than one. anyway there is a button shaped like a small peg in the center if it, push it in and it should stay in. You may need to re examine the limit switch, because this is what it sounds like. they are rated for a set temperature, so your application may need a higher temp. A simple way to check parts like these is to by-pass them by taking the wires off the part and connecting them together. If this solves the problem, that it. My only concern is that this is a new installation, and maybe its not venting adequately or its burning up all the usable air in the room. That's why most of these parts are on the equipment.

SOURCE: honeywell rth230b won't shut off heat

Sounds like a relay sticking. Possibly in the thermostat or possibly the furnace relay at the furnace. The next time it happens, unplug the thermostat from the wall. If the furnace still runs then it's the furnace relay.

Hope that helps...

SOURCE: Goodman GMS90904CXA Wont ignite, light blinks 3 times

Ok, you either have a inducer fan issue or a pressure switch issue or a plugged vent pipe. The inducer turns on to establish a draft for the exhaust. If it is not working you will get this error code. If the pressure switch does not sense pressure caused by the inducer, it will give this code. If either the intake pipe or exhaust pipe is blocked (even y just a little) it will give you the same error code. If the condensate hose or receptical is plugged, again it will give you this error code. Good Luck!

I have a goodman GMP075-3 that won't turn on. I think it is the pressure switch since I do not have a vent blockage. What is a venter and where can I find it??

SOURCE: Torpedo heater wont stay lit.

Do you have the serial number or the manufacture date? There are some design changes and I would need to know the year of manufacture to assist accurately. Usually it is a relay or the thermocouple connection that will affect the unit staying lit.

Installed new thermostat during the summer with no problem, AC worked great and still is working. But when i turned on heat, nothing. Again, AC works.

Did you rise the temperature on the thermostat higher than room temperature?
Check the igniter ( if it's a gas furnace) to see if it glows when you try to start the furnace, if it doesn't, replace it, that is if you have it wired right.

Good luck

Heat and Air run at the same time in my rv

yes, replace your stat but also make sure your wire going to y on the stat has not shorted with the wire going to the w on your t-stat. To check to make sure remove the t-stat and short the wire going to r to the y wire and the wire going to the g terminal if it has that. if cooling works with no heat it's more than likely in the stat, if heat comes on then you may have other wiring, circuit board issues

20 year old Rheem 90 plus 120k btu furnace blower runs contantly. Furnace and AC work fine (start and stop according to thermostat setting). What is problem? How fix?

Check to see if your unit has a heat sequencer. This is usually the problem with most furnaces. If it is bad, it will make the fan blower run all of the time. If you are not a electrican, you may want to get a electricin to look at it.

Relatively new wall furnace suddenly stopped working.

if you are by passing stat at the gas valve and it is still not working,i would assume a bad control valve.

I installed my RTH2310b honeywell, and called tech support because my old thermo had two connections, and none were labled. I have a gas furnace and hot water heat in a 1911 era home. Sop the guy I could...

Was there a jumper wire from the Rc connection to the Rh connection? And did you remove it? If you did you will need to re-install that jumper wire. You will need to use the jumper wire when you have a older furnace with just two wires. Verify that information with the instruction manual that came with the thermostat. And make sure that you always disconnect the power for the furnace before working on or changing the thermostat wires because it uses 24volts and you could shock yourself(24 volts stings a little) and or short out the voltage regulator for the furnace. Also some older furnaces require a thermostat with a "heat anticipator" setting and may cause a problem with the furnace if a compatible thermostat is not installed.

GDS80904BNA Goodman furnace only cylces off for a minute

Sounds like your repair man ripped you off. He should have stood behind his work.
1. I would try to clean the flame sensor located just below the burners. It is connected to "one" wire (Not the two wire) clean rod with sandpaper.
2. The old and thermostat could have a had a bad heat anticipator. if the new t/stat is not digital the heat anticpator on the T/stat needs to be adjusted. slide the small adjuster arm under the cover to about .6 or .7 and see if the solves the problem. if the t/stat is digital it should be preset from the factory.
3. last resort have a service man check your pressure swith. could be a slow inducer motor, blocked or bad vacum line, or a restricted drain or flue pipe.
Good luck!

Check your thermostat anticipator setting. If you dont know how to do this don't try on your own or you may damage your thermostat.
