Can't be fuses, as it comes back on!

Questions:-
i) Does it go off when run continuously with volume controls at zero?
(this checks whether the audio output level is causing a problem).

ii) When the unit does operate, is the sound good on both speakers?

iii) Does the fault occur more when outdoors (wind noise tripping the power protection). If so, reduce the low freq EQ setting.

iii) Do the EQ lights flutter when the fault occurs?

This fault has been reported on the Escort 3000 too, see link
Peavey Escort 3000 sound cutting out - Peavey Forum
suggesting this may need a 'electronic modification' to put it right.

Hope this helps.

I have a PEAVEY XR-AT, and today, when I powered it up, all my function lights came on also, and won't switch off. The 'Mic Mute' lit up, EFX DEFEAT lit up. What is wrong with it?

It is possible that you have issues with caps in the power supply...I would check those first...and you can get the schematics from Peavey....

Why would my iron heart Lainey 212 combo amp combo be blowing fuses?

Because some component in the amp is failing/failed and drawing too much current. The amp needs a repair shop. Poking around without knowing what you're doing can expose you to leather voltage. Don't do it.

My peavy amp will not turn on

1- check the outlet for power by plugging in a lamp or something
2- check the amps fuse. Most power amps have user replaceable glass fuses.

I need a circuit diagram for peavey escort 2000

It does not look like one is readily available. Due to Intellectual property issues, you might have to contact PEAVY directly.

Hi, my amp just died, i turned it on than the led lighted um and died, now i wont turn on ...

UNPLUG THE AMP
First you need to check any visible fuses either in the plug or on the back of the amp.
If you have an electrical testing screwdriver or meter you can test the fuse. If this sounds like gobbledegook (daft talk) then stop and take it to the dealer where you bought it.
If you can remove the fuse or fuses then replace them if it is obvious they have blown - dark and kinda burnt looking.
If replacing the fuses doesn't fix it - STOP.
Valve amps are serious bits of electrical hardware - they are not for home repairs - take it to a GOOD dealer / repair shop that deals with valve amp - nowhere else should play with it. When they have it sorted you can have the valves re-biased/changed to adjust the amp for the sound you want - yes the valves can change it.
Hope this helps - don't mess with it - even when turned OFF valve amps can give you a shock!!

Peavy viper 75 watt modulating amplifier stops getting power.

Your are on the right track. This fuse may look good but still be bad. once you in there all ways replace with new, it helps extend the life. 95% sure it s the fuse. If not it will need to go on the bench. Good luck DFD
