I have just switched on my medion akoya e6239 for the first time and instead of doing the set up it has just gone onto 'diagnosing your PC' what should I do? Thanks

Go to control panel and make sure that the drivers are installed. May have to re-intall them.

Goto Medion website-support and download latest drivers. Install these.

Check to see if there is any debris underneath the keys. Use canned air or an air nozzle hooked up to an air compressor. Sometimes, debris can get underneath the keys, keeping them from depressing the membranes underneath. If that doesn't help, you may need to take it to a technician to diagnose the problem.

You can buy a replacement anywhere locally that may sell a 2,5" hard drive, or amazon, ebay etc will stock 2.5" laptop hard drives. You must be aware the drives will be blank so you need a way of installing Windows back onto the new hard drive, post back if you need anymore help

It could be that you need up to date sound drivers. You can download from

If that fails, take it back to your retailer or get in touch with Medion

You need to get the DC socket replaced, or the original one resoldered. Your power supply may be broken, but it is more likely that it is the socket. Check the cable on the power supply for any breaks or floppiness at the joints. (an indication of a broken core)

some times it at the front some time its on the F buttons just press the fn + F? buttons together to switch on not sure which F button it is but it should have a logo of some discription on it.

I believe on the medion you have there may be a switch on the front or side to turn on the wireless. That or FN key and F1.
