There's a cube root function in the MATH menu. As an example, to calculate the cube root of 125, press MATH 4 1 2 5 ENTER .

On these units, the "equals" sign ([=]) is located in the [TEST] menu. This menu is a [2nd] function of the [MATH] key.

This function is used to test if two expressions are equals. To evaluate an expression, simply hit [ENTER].

Try this, it has been a while, so I apologize if this isn't correct, hit the "math" button, I beleive that pulls up a list of the math operators.

To do fractions, input like this:
(1/3)+(4/9)
Granted the answer is a decimal... But you should be able to convert that to a fraction using what you've learned in math class.
PI sign: Just press [2nd]and then[^]. And voila, instant π! Exponent:enter more complicated expressions involving exponents using parentheses and the negative sign.

Adding like signs together results in keeping the signs given. = -400
