Question about T-Mobile Wing™ Smartphone

The T-Mobile WING has to be rebooted to run another application

I can't believe how poorly the T-Mobile Wing operates. If you run any application (for example Google Maps), you must reboot the phone (maybe 2 minutes) before you can run another application (for example the built in camera application). This is horrible. I gave up some time ago buying and installing applications. It is of no use. Each time I get an application installed that I like. There are memory problems with the phone. I work with Tech support and they instruct me to do a factory reset, erasing all applicatoins and memory. What use is that? I can re-install my application, but then I will just have to do another factory reset to get the phone working again. This has happened with several applications.

You might try searching forums.xda-developers.com
They have a Wing/Herald section and they have custom ROMs.
I am running Windows Mobile 6.1 using the OpenTouch v7.5 Pro. It's not great due to the lack of hardware that HTC built the phone with. My best solution for this problem is tough it out until the HTC Touch Pro II (will likely be called the T-Mobile Wing II) is released, which will have better hardware (but not by much); or get an iPhone. I will likely be switching when my T-Mobile contract expires in the fall.

My wing phone has a poor battery. I can hardly talk for 45 minute

Sometimes overcharging can do this, look online to find another battery if you think you overcharged your phone. If the phone came like this call t-mobile for a replacement if you are still under warranty if it covers batteries. I have a Wing too and it does have alot of problems.

Hi,
I was searching for some questions on the wing and came accross this site.

If you look arond on this web page there is a free download of the Wing Manual. I didn't do the download myself just so you know. Maybe it's was you are looking for. LY

Need the unlock code for the t-mobile wing

Hey there,

I didn't backup the unlocking code anywhere as it was for one-time use only. If there is a way to read it off from somewhere in the phone let me know.

Unable to sync my T-Mobile Wing with computer

The T-Mobile Wing is not compatible with Windows Mobile Device Center vr. 6.1
My computer had updated itself to the higher version during a Windows update a few weeks ago.
Once vr. 6.1 was uninstalled, and vr. 6.0 was reinstalled, I was able to sync my Wing again.

Mine is loose, too. The Wing is just an inferior product. My LCD has also broken TWICE on the Wing, first time within a week and the second time within a month.

T Mobile Wing RUNNING SLOW, FREEZING

Ok. So stumbled across this page because I was having the same problem, i.e. all of a sudden the wing was moving unbelievably slow and would lock up if I tried to text. I pulled out the battery, classic, and then I pulled out the sim card. Then I put the battery back in and started it with out the sim card. I unlocked the phone with my code, I couldn't do the second "unlock" because there was no sim card. However, I could play solitaire, look at memory; ya know, mess with the basics. Then I turned the phone off with the power button, pulled the battery out, put the sim card back in, turned the phone on and now everything is great! I have even texted with no problems! hope this works for you!!!
