Try using the remote much closer to one of the units at a time. If that doesn’t work you’ll have to do it manually or get a different brand for one fan.
The frequency cannot be changed in the cars. The frequency is set, you have to buy two different frequency cars. There are stickers on the cars, and there is also a label on the outside of the box. The frequencies are 27 and 49, we got two 49s, so we ll have to exchange one.
InstructablesAug 4, 2009 - My friend and I bought 2 rc toys (1:18 scaled Ferrari F1) just for fun, but they work on same frequency (40.685 MHz) so we can't drive at same time. So i need some suggestions on how to change the frequency on one of them. The transmitter have quartz crystal, but receiver have only ...
InstructablesI'll show you how to modify a rc toy car to work on a different frequency. ... the method I describe here should work with nearly every rc car. ... if you mean to change thefrequency from lets say 27.005Mhz to 27.415Mhz, it's basically the same.
Hi... You have to "erase all codes" (you can read that section of the manual and teach the opener to use the remote using a new code. You can get the manual at the Craftsman site, page 35. Essentially you do this: access the reset button n the back right of the motor, press and hold the 'learn' for 6 seconds or more, until the learn light goes off. TO reprogram it, press the learn button until the light goes on, then within 30 seconds, press and hold the desired button of the remote. Voila!
The simple solution is to turn the wall switch OFF when, the fan is not in use. I really don't think the remote alone is the culprit. Because, you say it happens even when it's in the bureau or in another room. Remote controls for ceiling fans have a very short range and are generally infrared remotes, rather than radio frequency remotes. So, if the infrared signal does not reach the receiver's sensor in the fan, it won't function. If it's a radio frequency remote control, do you have any other remote controlled fans in the house? If so, does the suspect fan seem to turn ON after you have activated the other fan? If that happens, it means both remote controls are on the same frequency. Changing the frequency of one, should solve the problem. See your Owner's Manual for directions on how to reprogram the frequency codes.
If none of the above solves the problem, maybe you should contact the "Ghost Hunters" TV show.
Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.
I don't think that you could program/change the freq of your Motorola GP2000 manually since newer Motorola radios today everything is done by computer and programming sotfware. You need to have software for GP2000, radio interface box ( RIB) and programming cable for GP2000 radio and these devices are not cheap. The best way is to contact a local repair shop to have it done for you or find a two-way radio technician, he could do this if he has all the test equipments required.
Good luck!
make sure yo have the leads connected correctly, after you connected an aerial lead from the box to the tv aerial input, make sure the box is switched on then tune the tv until you see a signal from the box (usually 35)if you do it through a video you may find its on the same frequency causing ghosting on the picture,in which case you will have to change the output frequency of the box or thee video
I was able to get my Motorola DVR Cable Box to work with my Universal Remote using the following instructions:
The Instruction Manual for Manual Code Search seems incorrect. (Page 5).
A) Manually turn on the device to be controlled. (O.K.)
B) Press and hold the code search button until the red indicator stays on, then release the code search button. (O.K.)
C) Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, VCR). The red indicator blinks off once. (O.K.)
D) Face the remote control directly to the device you want to control. (O.K.)
E.) Press the ON/OFF Button (this should read CHANNEL UP button) repeatedly until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red button blinks off with each button press.
F) Press and release enter to install the code. (O.K.)
-Note, the remote is able to change the channel, however, it does not control the volume.
