I have win-xp sp3 OS. My printer is not working. When I star my computer one small window is being opened as "Spooler subsystem app" and in that some massage is there as "Spooler subsystem app has encountered a problem and needs to close.We are sorry for the inconvenience. ...........".and it is asking that to send the massage to Microsoft. I checked the spooler settings in services weather it is started or not. I kept it in automatic mode and restarted it. Even though printer is not working . So what should I do now. Please help me.

if you have the disk that came with the printer you need to uninstall it and reinstall it , or check your cables from the back of the printer to the tower and make sure they are connected , see if that helps solve your problem most likely you will have to uninstall and reinstall the printer

Hi Joy;
is this a new computer unit? when did it start occurring? is it right after you install a software or new hardware? if software, try to uninstall it and if its hardware, try to remove the hardware but before that, you may want to boot to safe mode, ( tap F8 when you pc starts to boot) just to check of some software is causing this because when you boot on safe mode, only basic drivers are being loaded, please try this so that we can isolate the problem
thanks

Hi there.
I'm assuming its a Vista machine you are getting the error message on.
Follow these simple steps >>>>
1. Go to Programs and Features in Control panel > click Turn Windows features on or off
2. click + sign of Print services
3. Select LPD and LPR. You should remove Internet Printing Client.
> restart your PC to ensure there is no error of spooler service.
4. Add your printer driver again.
Hope this works for you and good luck
