Clean everything really good. next time it leaks you should have a better idea of where its coming from. Like rolling a fat girl in flower to find the wet spot.

Wash engine clean with dish soap and water- wipe all parts on that side- let dry and start car-- you will now see where leak is in general

SOURCE: 2004 aveo timing belt broke, all valves bent

just go to any junk yard and find a used deawoo lanos and pull the head if timing belt was not broke, if it looks good, its a exact fit 100%, no special tools needed, just normal wrench set and torqe wrench. after head is installed, get a gates timing belt only.

SOURCE: oil leaking from back of motor . changed oil

The oil pressure switch is located on top at the
transmission end of the engine.
If the switch is leaking, it could appear to be coming
from the places you mentioned. Hope this helps.
Good luck

SOURCE: Hi, I have a 2006 chevy aveo and I was recently

Its easy. I did mine about a month ago. You need to take off all the bolts on the top part of the motor. there are some tubes on the left side of the motor by pushing them out of the way... you take the old one off and replace it with the new one making sure its aligned and the you put it back on.. the bolts need to be hand tightened kinda as tight as you would do your tires.

I have a 1992 honda accord and the timing cover is broken and or cracked almost all the way around. Why is oil coming out from that arrea?

more then likely you have a cam seal or crank seal leaking, should be looked at since oil will damage and degrade the timing belt which could leave to failure and high chance of permanet motor damage requiring a new motor

Excessive Oil leak on 1985 Chrysler Laser 2.2L (non-turbo). My 17 year old son purchased the car with little history. Noticed a small oil leak on driveway. Replaced the valve cover gasket and leak...

A plugged pcv system will cause excessive oil leaks. But it sounds like you have a massive leak. If the passenger side is leaking behind the timing cover there may be up to four seals that may leak.single cam motor will have one cam seal dual will have two cam seals. Crank seal and possible oil pump seal. Would recommend pressure washing motor, go to local parts store and get some engine dye. Then support car and let engine get warm. And try to pinpoint leak.

Leaky valve cover on my jdm subaru

The only thing you might need to buy beside the gasket is any rubber parts that have been damaged by the leaking oil.
Check your radiator hoses, heater hoses, and vacuum lines, because motor oil will "rot:" rubber.
You need only replace hoses that are "spongy"and are wet with oil.
Be blessed.

2002 tahoe back of motor oil leak, already changed rear main

If you have oil running down the side of the block (from above the oil pan) check the lower edge of the valve cover. Those gaskets often fail to seal when the fasteners eventually work themselves loose

Check the fasteners that secure the valve cover to the heads. Torque to 3 ft lbs.

If the leak persists... replace the gasket.

Oil leak front engine timing chan

1995 Tracker would have a timing BELT. Normal oil leak points (in order) on a Suzuki G16 engine are the distributor base (rear of motor), valve cover (top of motor), front main seal (behind lower timing belt cog) cam seal (behind the upper timing belt cog) and rear main seal. (behind the flywheel). I'd suspect the front main seal or cam seal. I use foot power to help find oil leaks.

Have oil leak not heavy, but it leaks any answer were it could be coming from..

Valve Covers, Head Gaskets, Oil Pan Seal and a number of other spots. You'll need to clean the motor with Gunk Engine cleaner and then look for the largest build ups of oil and crud to get a better idea where it is.

Smoke comes from around engine

Probably a vavle cover gasket leak, small but enought to produce oil, in or on the surface of the motor doesnt take much to a lil smoke from aa hot engine...it could be collectiing in the canals ontop of the motor where the vlave covers sit on the head? or a head gasket problem....inspect it well after you run the car for a lil while, b4 it starts to smoke
