You can have multiple gmail accounts.
Please note that gmail will always default to the last account that you logged on to.
To create a new gmail:
1. When you are in gmail, click on the account icon in the top right corner.
2. Click on "Add Account".
Once you have more than one gmail account, you will need to sign off from one one in order to sign on to another. To do so:
To get to your preferred gmail account, you have to sign out of the one you don't want.
1. When you are in gmail, click on the account icon in the top right corner.
2. Click on "Sign Out".
3. On the "Sign Out" page, click on "Sign in with a different account".
4. Here you should be able to access the gmail account you prefer.
BONUS NOTE:
Just so you know, you can have email from one account automatically forwarded to another email account.
Here is the procedure:
To forward all new emails:
- In gmail, click the gear in the top right.
- Settings.
- Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- Click Add a forwarding address in the "Forwarding" section.
- Enter the email address you want to forward to.
- For your security, we'll send a verification email to that address. Open your other email account and find the confirmation message from the Gmail team. If you're having trouble finding it, check your Spam folder.
- Click the verification link in that email.
- Back in your Gmail account, reload the page in your web browser - look for the reload icon [img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/support-kms-prod/SNP_473524EEB211D78EA552B2881D1A3A1E8358_6002871_en_v0" height="auto">.
- Forwarding and POP/IMAP page in Settings, check thatForward a copy of incoming mail is selected and your email address is in the drop-down menu.
- In the second drop-down menu, choose what you want Gmail to do with your messages after they're forwarded, such as keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox (recommended) or archive Gmail's copy.
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Stop auto-forwarding
If you no longer want to automatically forward your mail, follow these instructions:
Open the Gmail account that you forward from.
- Click the gear in the top right.
- Settings.
- Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- Select Disable forwarding in the "Forwarding" section.
- Click the first drop-down menu after "Forward a copy of incoming mail to" and check for any addresses listed as "(in use by a filter)." To disable the forwarding filter, choose the Remove option.
