SOURCE: jet pump will not shutt off

it sounds like the pump relay may be stuck closed. Also check the temp readout, if it thinks the water is too hot it will try to cool the water by running the jets and sometimes the blower as well.

SOURCE: hot tub no heater or pump heater light flashing

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

Start with the pump. If it is bound up and not starting nothing else will work. Close off your valves and disconnect the pump unions. Once free, reach in with the pump unplugged and try to turn the impeller by hand. Will it turn? If not, you'll need to free it or get the pump repaired. Once the pump is working and water circulating your heater should start working.

If this answer does not fix your problem, please comment with additional details prior to rating the answer. Positive feedback is appreciated once your problem is solved!

SOURCE: i shut off my pump

I suspect you had air trapped in the filter. When the pump shut down, the compressed air in the filter pushed back, turned the pump backwards, and unscrewed the impeller off the motor shaft. This particular pump doesn't use an impeller screw which prevents this from happening. You will have to pull the pump apart to see if this is the cause. I have seen this happen many times.

Jets won't stay running

Sound like a bad switch. The contacts are likely corroded or broken.

My Marquis Randezvous Spa won't heat

It's one of 2 things. If the jets turn on but no heat, you have a bad pressure sensor or temperature sensor. If the jets don't turn on you have a bad pump.

How to start the jets on an MTI FURO MTDS 59

Checking the circuit breaker for power to the pump is obvious however the control that turns the bath pump on/off may be the real problem.
MTI has what control box to operate the pump?
Check there first because that may be the problem before the bath pump is a problem.
We would need to know the model number of the bath pump and the control box if there is one that the bath pump plugs into.

We have a '03 Pontiac Grand Am GT, 3.4L (3400).

If the resistor bypass doesn't solve it, another remedy could be a plug-in type engine block heater- I mean plug into household current. It keeps the engine coolant warm in the block. Every other car here in Montana uses one-works great for those below zero nights. When the wife pulls into work, just run an extension line and keep the car plugged in till time to go. Other than that, IDK, sounds like you've covered it pretty well as far as solutions.

Lt180 won't run without choke pulled out..replaced fuel pump, gas,.2 spark plugs...fuel filter looks fine & carb was replaced last year.

Hi, disassemble and clean all jets in the carby, also check the valve clearances are correct because if they too tight the engine will not draw fuel in. Hope this helps, regards Phil.
