My receiver cannot find my internet connection

Unplugging the receiver and plugging it back in; searching for networks. It can't find mine, but my other devices have no issues. (iPads, iPhones, etc.)

    Mike,

Thank you very much for your quick response! What concerns me is the fact that I haven't had this issue since I've owned this receiver the last 4 months (Sorry for not clarifying this earlier). It just lost connection and wouldn't even recognize that I have Internet available anymore. It wouldn't even recognize others (every other device I have recognizes these others-neighbor's, etc.).

Ive done some research and am finding that these Marantz receivers are prone to these types of gremlins. Most people advise to unplug them completely and then plug them in again. I did this the first time with no change, then did it a couple of hours later for a bit more than 30 seconds and it worked. I did not have to re-enter my internet security code, either.

I've had my receiver lock up on a couple of occasions, to the point where no buttons on the receiver or the remote would work at all, not even the on/off button on the receiver. Again, I had to unplug the receiver and plug it back in to resolve the issue. I called the Audio store where I purchased the receiver and they told me that this Marantz SR5009 receiver has some pretty advanced electronics in it, and sometime they can get confused. Not exactly what I wanted to hear after paying $900 for it.

First make sure that the receiver is within the broadcasting range of the signal.
Then check the wifi antenna on the receiver...mount it up high.
Access your network router setup interface and make sure the settings allow for the broadcast SSID to be visible and that MAC address filtering is turned off.
Your other devices will still be able to connect with the aforementioned settings enabled if they were set up previously to do so, that is why they would be able to connect and your receiver cannot. For setup of new devices to the network, anything that would secure the network needs to temporarily disabled to allow the initial connection.

I have a VW37L Vizio connected to Dish satellite, I suddenly have no sound.

Hello, my name is Cheri Torres and I am with the DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to help. There are a few things that you can try in order to get the sound back on your TV. The first step to try is a hard reset, you can do this by unplugging the receiver from the wall outlet for 10 seconds then plugging it back in. If this does not fix the issue you are going to want to check your cables. Make sure that the cable running from your TV into the DISH Network receiver box is not damaged and make sure that it is plugged in securely. You can also try unplugging the cable from the DISH receiver and TV and then reentering it. The next step to try is using the same cable on a different device such as a DVD player, gaming system etc. If the cable does work on a different device the issue is probably with your DISH receiver box. If the cable does not work with another device you are going to want to try replacing the cable itself. I hope you find this information useful and if you have anything further questions please feel free to ask. Thanks and have a great day!

Statut searching for information 061

The receiver is getting a software update and if the message stays on your screen for an extended period of time the download could be failing.

Try unplugging the receiver for 10-15 seconds and then plug it back in to allow the receiver to reboot itself. If the message returns and doesn't disappear after a 20 minute timeframe we will have to replace the receiver.

When i plug in the router the only lights that light up instantly are the dlink green light and the network light orange and i tried unplugging it and the reset button but nothing works.

If you have the network receiving light on then then your on the internet. How many more lights are there?Nearly all lights must be on with maybe one led light that doesn't concern your connection. There should be one light for power on,the d-link,and the internet led.Is your pc internet connection configured properly.Go to control panel,go to network and connect to internet.this will search for a server number. If it is configured you will have to contact your server by phone.

Router is about to get on my nerves it wont work

Have you tried unplugging the power cord from the router, waiting at least 15 seconds and then plugging it in again? This will reboot the router. Mine occasionally exhibits your problem and this solves it. You might have to turn off the PC's wireless connection and then back on (or sleep/wake up or reboot) in order to have the PC initiate contact with the router again.

I have a cisco router linksys. I connect internet cable to it in ethernet port. Neither by wire not by wireless I can connect my laptop. The connection comes as only local

If you can plug the cable that you have ran into your router into your computer directly and it works, then you can plug the router back in. Then connect the computer to the router via cable and unplug the router for about 15 seconds and plug it back in. If you connect the computer by cable directly and it doesn't work, then try unplugging your router for about 15 seconds and then plugging it in. I have found many networking items that need to be reset whenever a network cable is plugged in when the device is powered on.
