How do I record a message on my Motorola L703 cordless phone

There should be a button on the base labeled greet or record(maybe rec).Press and hold down rec(greet if there is no rec) and it should prompt you to record or just beep.After it beeps record your message and let go of the button.Usually it automatically plays it back so you can hear it.Good luck!

You don't. Messages are recorded on you answering machine. This is accomplished by just pressing the little message button on the answering machine and recording you message. I have mine to record up to 4 minutes per message.

For out going message:
Press and hold OGM button for a few seconds then you will hear a beep and you record your message then when your done press stop.

• Step 1Begin the recording process by first locating the "Change" button on your answering machine. This button initializes the answering machine for adjustments to the settings of the various features.
• Step 2:Locate the microphone on your answering machine and lean towards it until you are about nine inches away.
• Step 3:Locate the "Annc" button. Press and hold the "Annc" button until it beeps. Begin recording your message.
• Step 4:Watch the message window while you are recording your message. It keeps track of how much time has elapsed since you began recording. You can record a message that is up to three minutes long.
• Step 5:Locate the "Stop" button and press it when you have finished recording your message. The answering machine will play your message back at this point. If you are not satisfied with your message, repeat the steps to record it again.
• Step 6:Press "Annc" if you want to listen to your message again.

push the mute button on your cordless uniden phone,and you will see the number 5 come up on the phone display.then hit the number 6 and when you hear it begin to beep record your message

to play your messages

press the button with the speaker symbol on the handset it shows ans record on the screen, then press number 2 and your messages will play.

press * to delete the currently playing message DELETED will be displayed

to delete all your messages

press the speaker button ans record shows in the window, press the star button the display shows DELETE press ok to confirm the display shows deleted and you will hear a confirmation tone.
press c if you decide to cancel deletion

press and hold c to exit and return to standby

3. Once you hear record announcement after the tone continue holding the relase button and record your message.
4. When you are done recording release the release button.
5. To hear your recorded message press and hold the release button and release after you have heard your message.
6. If you are not pleased with your recorded message, repeat the steps obove.
