The case has 2 plastic snaps en each side as well as 3 snaps at the top
Use a flat-head screwdriver in the **** between the gray and black plastic. Twist the gray plastic away from the black plastic, and this will snap the part appart

Check that the signal cable from the computer is firmly connected and that there are no bent pins in either end. If the trouble continues, the problem is in the monitor itself. Given the low replacement cost, it's uneconomical to try repairing these.

I found in the folder of Hp the file that does the " UPDATES".
So, thanks for the offer to help me, but all is well now with me and the Hp UPDATES.

Hold the menu button in WHILE turning on the power. This toggles the state of teh OSD lock.
