Re:
Here is what it is, SPUpdate.exe is part of SPUpdate and developed by SoftThinks - Dell according to the SPUpdate.exe version information.
SPUpdate.exe's description is "SoftThinks Update Tool"
SPUpdate.exe is digitally signed by Dell Inc.
SPUpdate.exe is usually located in the 'c:\program files (x86)\dell datasafe local backup\components\DSUpdate\' folder. if you do not require the software , then i would recommend , uninstalling it , if it is indeed an error from a previous installation that you can no longer uninstall , try reinstalling the software and then uninstalling, after this use a registry cleaner to clean that up too, if you need further help or instructions dont heitate to ask

get the driver from the hello kitty web cam manufacturer web site
find the down load compatible with win XP ( doubt if you will) because win xp is so far out of date that the web cam may not be for win xp system
This works for me running win Xp - download XPcodec pack it free do a web search. If anything other than Xp like mac or Win Vista download VLC media player.
Whar kind of OS do you have? Some web cams will not load with win 7. You need to got to the Radio shack web site to manually search the site for the drivers needed in the support area. I have the same problem with a creative live pro web cam (0884). And it isn't supported under win 7 while win xp pro does support it. Goo dluck! Email; me the model number and brand name of yor web cam and the OS of the machine you use, and if it is a 64 bit, 32 bit (or 86 Intel), and I will track down your drivers for you. OK?
the problem is win xp
as it is so far out of date and unsupported by Microsoft , there are no drivers available from win xp
If you cannot find the drivers on the manufacturers web site for the units you may have to up grade to win 10
there will be no win 7 driver as win 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft
to get a driver , you have to go to the manufacturers web site , find a down load for that model that is compatible for win 7 operating system
win xp is also not supported by Microsoft so there will be driver problems there as well
If you have a valid Win XP Pro CD and want to install the operating system you'll need to format your hard disk drive. If you have allot of data on you're hard disk drive, (In Win 2000) Suggest you create a second partition within the free space of you're hdd and install windows XP Pro. Boot you're system with the XP CD. Pay close attention to the display screens. Follow the instructions for creating a second partition.
Format the new partition. (Quick). Install windows XP on the new partition. Once completed you can copy your personal data to win XP.
If you choose to keep the win 2000 partition and you do not wish to have a dual boot system than remove/delete the root files from the 2000 partition. These files; Autoexec.bat and Boot.ini. You're new XP Boot.ini should read like this;
[boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer
Once you're satisfied an no longer need win 2000 use windows diskmgmt.msc from the run command to delete the win 2000 partition.
Win 2000 uses a FAT16 where Win XP uses the FAT NTFS.
win xp is the problem
It has not been supported for so long now that any bugs are not being fixed and there are no down loads to fix
if you can find the manufacturers web site form what you have, find a download for it that is compatible win win xp and you may get around the bug
make DVD drive the master, and Cd drive the slave. by set pin then have bios re search for them and try xp new hardware search with the new configuration
The model is HPScanjet 3300C, I searched the web and I think there are drivers compatible for this on XP Pro. My error message reads not compatible in Win 95 or NT, need win 98. Hope you can help.
