SD550 camera not focusing correctly. Green focus square sometimes shows up, sometimes not, either way, it's not clear even on the digital screen prior to taking the shot. Camera does make a slight click when turned on/when lens open. Any suggestion?

green square comes up, it's still not clear. Tried various mode, ie auto, manual, portrait and still same, also in bright and dark area... Though when green focus square comes up, it's slightly clearer than without it, but still not normal. It started couple of days ago.

To make the green square show up just press the shutter button until half (this is called the half press) when the green square shows up then it means that the camera has focused already, if not repeat the process til green square comes out you can press the shutter button fully to take picture when you see the green square...

Seems possible that the servo control /main processor control is faulty and will need help from Nikon service , It will be better to get a evaluation for the fault and so we can have a consenses on the fault.

Rectangle in led screen green/ or yellow with exclamation

The camera doesn't have anything to focus on - especially if you're shooting the sky. The auto focus needs something with fairly defined edges to work. Try to focus on the edge of a well defined cloud, or focus on a tree or similar, half depress the shutter to lock the focus, then move re-frame your shot. Alternatively you can use manual focus. Hope that helps

My pictures are always blurry, even when I focus in for a second before I take the picture. Please help. I am holding my camera very still all the time and the picture is ALWAYS blurry, no matter even if I...

the shooter has two positions . one (half push) is for focusing and after full push is shot. When you take a picture, you see some green squares ? or only one square in the middle ? if that square is not green and is red. Your camera can`t make focus. One reason is because is on macro mode. If you see a flower on the LCD, that means is in the macro mode and you have to deactivate that function.

Out of focus

Sounds like the camera is trying to focus if you hear sound when pressing the shutter halfway down or zooming. If the noise is a scraping or grinding sound, you might have debris stuck between the cracks of the lens and the camera body. This happened to me after i dropped my canon sd550 on the beach just once and it never recovered. Next to water sand has got to be one of a camera's worse enemy. Also, the lens might be cocked a bit which would prevent the camera from focusing and zooming smoothly. Try gently adjusting the the lens. Sometimes the slightest imperfection in the lens will throw everything off. Good luck!

Nothing Display in Canon Ixus 750

Explain how broken Does the Screen display anything? If it does but is cracked then clear tape will fix it. If it is 'dead' then nothing will fix it and no repair I would think is possible. But to be sure check your local web site for repairers or even Canon - but possibly not in Bangla

Problem with image

What mode is the camera in? is it in "Auto" at the top there is a dial switch it to auto and press button halfway (shutter button) when you press the button halfway the camera will beep and display a square box on the LCD. If the camera beeps once and the box is orange it could not focus and you need to retry pressing halfway again. When it is in focus it will beep 2 times and it will show a GREEN box. This is the indication it could focus on the subject correctly. Its a machine and sometimes it takes it a bit for it to figure out what your wanting it to do. Its the nature of the unit
