Does the shredder have a reverse button ?

If it has, just switch between reverse and forward a couple of times.

If that does not work it may have to be dismantled and the cutters turned by hand as you pull the paper out. Disconnect the power first though.

Ativa shredder X1800 - shredder does not respond. green light present. Reverse works fine. I killed it with too much shredded paper.

Unplug it. Lift the shredder unit off the catch-bucket. Remove any paper caught in the blades. You may need needle-nose pliers to pull jammed paper out from between the cutters.

My Shredder W11C stopped working suddenly both forward and backwar. The power source is O K.

if you can hear the motor working but the paper won't pull in and shred then you broke a tooth on the plastic gear. This happens when you try to shred too much at one time. It happened to me but I couldn't find a plastic gear or the company to replace the gear. I liked the machine so I made my own tooth with DEVCON home plastic welder. With a little ingenuity and some tools you could try to fix it. Or like someone said buy a new shredder

Why my printer is not able to cut recipt

Cutter blade may have some receipt paper jamming its movement. It is not a very powerful motor and easily jammed. Open the top and look closely for little cut pieces of paper. Clear out all the pieces and try to blow it out with canned air. Reboot system and check printer settings to make sure cutting function is set. Give it a try.

Jammed paper shredder royal 80x

It maybe that the shredder cutters are jammed. Unplug from mains, and lift off top and place upside down. Use a small screwdriver and poke at any compressed paper wrapped around the blades - can take a while.
Give a quick spray to cutters with WD40 Replace - turn on - and run in reverse.
If all else fails, contact the maker

Shredder blades not turning

A staple or paper clip has jammed the cutter blades.
If there is a reverse switch then reverse to free the cutter blades and remove these objects.

Can't find cutter. could it have fallen into machine. the clip that holds it is there. This happened after trying to clear a paper jam

Cutter unit having press & release system, by mistake its released, it might be fallen in paper bin.. You can see there is a cut at right side near blur lever, pull cutter bush up to there & load the cutter into cutter bush. Once hearing click sound manually confirm its fixed properly or not.. once its confirmed, push cutter in to park area, power on the printer..

Paper pulls to right side and then jams it all started when paper jam i pulled it out and ever since then when loading paper it pulls to the right and then jams

Try running a good sized thickness paper thru it to clear out the cutters.
Sometimes when they jam some residual paper is left in the space between the cutter wheels and causes the paper to feed askew...
I use the cover from old phone books.

Paper has wrapped around the cutting blades and is packed in tight. How do I clean this?

    • 1 Unplug the paper shredder. Empty the shreds from the collection bin. Pull as much stuck material as possible from the top and bottom of the shredder blades with pliers.
    • 2 Place the paper shredder back on the collection bin base and plug the shredder back in. Rock the shredding direction back and forth between forward and reverse. Pull on the jammed pieces as the shredder shifts between directions.
    • 3 Run the shredder in reverse continuously once the paper jam is cleared. Make two passes across the cutting blades while drizzling synthetic shredder oil. Switch the direction to forward to run continuously for one minute.
    • 4 Lower two sheets of clean paper into the shredder. The paper removes excess oil, metal fragments and debris from the cutting blades. Blast the blades with compressed air when you notice a build-up of small paper scraps that may cause a jam.

Over heating light on, will not work. tried to unplug for an Hour still not working

Can you hear any humming? Blades or motor may be jammed. Can you get the top off? Most likely there is paper jammed in the cutter asm. You may have to manually turn the motor in reverse to pull the paper out.

Royal 10X confetti shredder

More than likely, there is a lot of paper debris jammed between the cutters and strippers. If you are handy, try the following.
Disconnect the power.
Disassemble the shredder from the lower bin to access the cutting head. Clear the head of all debris with a small screw driver or ice pick. Reassemble and oil the cutters with shredder oil, being careful not to get any oil on the optics. This should solve the sluggish problem. Oil on a regular basis, before every use.
