Question about Lucent Lands Phones
I somehow managed to change one of the settings on our phone recording. Originally, when a person called in, they could choose an extension and were transferred to that person's voicemail. Now, when they choose a particular extension, instead of getting that person's voicemail, the phone puts the caller back to the #10 voicemail. This all occurred when I was trying to record a second message on our phone system, wherein a caller could choose "for our hours choose 2" kind of thing. Now there is a very old message that says it is selector code 2 announcement 1.

I am not a phone installer and we have another vendors' phone system here at our work.
It can be *extremely* difficult setting up these phone systems, even with a manual.
Here is one such link that might help:

Here is another forum that has lots of friendly folks that might be able to help

You will get an answer much sooner on there than here probably.

SOURCE: Merging 2 siemens gigaset 4215 systems (one base with 2 phones + 2 phones)
If you're trying to get 5 handsets to work with one base, it won't work. The 4215 can only handle 4 handsets, the base handset plus 3.
When I had to replace the base of my 4 handset system, the base handset still worked. Therefore I had an extra handset which couldn't be used. So I decided to buy another base. Now I have 6 handsets which can be grouped 4,2 or 3,3.

SOURCE: Voicemail won't allow recording transfers back to receptionist!
Are the mailboxes set up?? What happens is a call goes to an extension, there is one program set to tell the system that if a call rings 4 times, go here(voicemail). Once it goes there, the voicemail system sees that there is or is not a mailbox matching that extension. If there is, the call goes to voicemail, if not, it transfers to the operator.
OR.....Does your system display the correct time? Its possible that the phone system lost its programming, and doesnt know where the voicemail is.
Both might need a professional tech on site...a bit too hard to help over a forum.

SOURCE: Directory Access Changes
Changing CCR tree...
Ok, for the first part:
Changing the Greeting in the Auto Attendant via CCR tree... you have to get into the ADMIN mailbox:
-> FEATURE 9 8 3
-> Password 1020000 for 3 digit extensions -or- 120000 for 2 digit extensions
(these are the default password, but can be changed)
-> OTHR
-> CCR
-> ADMIN
-> TREE 1 and press OK
-> CHNG
-> Path 0
-> REC then press PLAY to listen to the greeting, and ensure that is the one that you need to change
-> REC the new message
-> remember to SAVE! otherwise all is for not.
THIS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR OTHER TREES ex 2 or 3, listen too all trees and change if required... same steps to get into the trees and prompts.
Ok, second part:
To change the locations of where Press 1 goes do that same steps as above, but Path 1 is for number 1...
Path 2 is for the number 2... so on and so forth.

It sounds like the voicemail selector codes were changed. What is selector code 1 currently set up as?
