Exactly error: "Unable to connect to the proxy server A proxy server
is a server that acts as an intermediary between your computer and other
servers. Right now, your system is configured to use a proxy, but
Google Chrome can't connect to it. Here are some suggestions: If
you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or check with your
network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If
you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, try the following
steps: Go to Wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change
proxy settings > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for
your LAN." Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED): Proxy server connection failed."
Any doubts you can get the help of a technician through
You will need to use a proxy so that Google's servers think you are in the US. www.hidemyass.com is one such service. Once you have downloaded the installer, the proxy is no longer necessary.
I would like to recommend a couple of solutions for you. First off, launch Google Chrome and click on the wrench in the top-right corner. From there, go to Options > Under the Hood > Change Proxy Settings > LAN Settings. Uncheck the option that says "Use a Proxy Server".
If this isn't enabled, then try uninstalling Google Chrome and re-installing it using this alternative installer:
http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?standalone=1&hl=en
If this solution doesn't resolve your problem, please return to this page and I will be happy to assist your further.
If you have recently had a virus or malware attack, it has changed your proxy settings. Go to options>under the hood>change Proxy settings>LAN Settings and make sure of the following: Automatically detect settings is CHECKED Use a Proxy server for your LAN is UNCHECKEDIf this doesn't fix it then the registry might have been affected, too. Perform a repair on your operating system or restore. I would recommend a factory restore after you have saved all important data on an external drive or flash.
