Sprint Aircard 595/use with other laptop

Hi.

The AirCard 595 is a Type II PCMCIA.

With the laptop facing towards you look at the right hand side of it, down the side of the latop just above the DVD/CD RW you will see a slot with a small button to the left of it. That is the PCMCIA slot. Push that button so it pops out and then push it back in again. That will push out the blanking plate. Pull out the blanking plate and then tyou can pop in the aircard. Make sure you don't put the card in upside down and also make sure you have the driver/software CD handy.

Download and install Sprint's SmartView. Select the download for your computer's operating system. Follow the installation wizard's prompts to properly install SmartView. The aircard should be connected to the computer during installation.

Restart the computer. Leave the aircard connected during the restart.

Double-click on the Sprint SmartView icon on the desktop.

Wait for the program to initialize and recognize the aircard, then click "Connect." Sprint SmartView should activate the aircard automatically.

Open a browser window to access the Internet.

try pluging it in

it may just be a compatability issue that cannot be fixed you might have to buy new hardware.

it might be a faulty network card

This has been a common issue, so far no fix found

make sure system is off . remove the aircard. turn on u computer .Well u can use system restored from windows and set it to the first day they installed it. and reinstall driver first for u sprint aircard then shop down computer and insert the aircard. :)

There are routers you can purchase that will allow your aircard to plug-in to it as opposed to your laptop. Most companies charge you alot of money for going over there limits on usage so becareful. I had a friend that got charged over $900 due to excessive usage.

ok guys ive found the solution. i have a sprint usb aircard and had the same problem for like 6 months and just yesterday i found out how to make it work.

1) connect laptop/ CPU to internet as usual*
2)go to control panel
3) go to network and internet connections
4)go to network connections
5) next tight click on you internet provider thing. and go to properties.
6) click on advanced tab
7) then just follow the instruction to make it a shared connection and thats all to it.

fyi: its probably going to lag alot if your not in a good reception area. other than that the lag is bearable.
