Hello. My canon eos 60d won't powered up. When i used it, it suddenly turn off. I thought the battery is empty so i charged the battery. When battery charged indicator shows full (green light is on without blink). When i inserted the battery the screen on the upper right side shows a blank battery indicator (battery picture empty and blink) even i not turn the camera on yet.

Unchargeable defective battery would do that. Sulfation in the battery. Replace battery. 10 to 20 bucks.

The hand with parenthesis is your image stabilization. It sounds like if your images are turning out black, you may need service.

Try hitting your display button a few times and see if anything shows up on the screen.

This is usually caused by a defective shutter release switch - it'll have to go into a repair shop - independent shops will charge about $110 USD - Canon charges about $180

SOURCE: canon EOS 400D will not power up

Generally a fuse blows on these, on the DC/DC converter (psu ) board. This is situated on the front of the camera, fairly easy to get at just involves undoing loads of screws!! The fuse is marked "K", replace or short out with a thin piece of wire. May be caused by changing lenses with the power on, but not sure.
Watch for the charged flash capacitor though!!
Had this problem with mine.

Go to this site and try emailing them: www.camerasandparts.com They just service the Canon Powershot cameras and they are wonderful for help with these. They do excellent work and are about half the price of Canon. Hope that helps, best of luck with the problem.

Canon 60d cannot turn on

when a camera won't power up, check a few things:
battery is charged. When the battery is in the charger, check if the charger acts like you are used to. The light should blink the same way and should go out, or start burning what the battery is charged.
Then check if the contacts on the battery and in the camera (battery holder) are clean and shiny. Eventually clean with a dry cloth or cotton swabs. Never use sharp tools. Then when the battery is in the camera again, listen and feel if the battery door locks correct.
The battery door or lid should engage a switch. That switch is there to stop all action, when the door is opened. Just to prevent memory damage, because the camera unexpectedly can lose power.

I hope it helps.

Canon 60D playback images turning up black

Did you switch to Tv (shutter mode) and took pictures for several seconds? like in the dark? Because saving the picture can take as long as the shutter time was.
Before panic. (Actually you never should panic) check your camera in automatic mode. And make sure you did not select any power save action, that puts your display on dark while shooting.
But always be sure your battery is charged and check its capacity. In the menu yo can check under the wrench symbol, when you select Battery info. Page 268 of the manual.
Working with a bad battery can damage the camera in the end.

Unable turn on canon 60D i was reviewing the photo

Remove the battery and memory card, switch the power switch on for a few seconds and then switch it off. Make sure the battery is fully charged, re-insert the battery and try to switch on again without the memory card in.

The camera doenst start the ligth of empty battery is flashing the camera dont start

check for a blown fuse in the DC/DC board. Board is on top after you remove top cover, and the fuses are covered by a shield plate you have to unsolder. Fuses are very small and have letter codes like P or K
