I have a 2004 deville my battery run down over night

I took it to dealer battery stayed charged got it home and three day later it started again batter dead in the morning

IF THEY CHECKED FOR A DRAW ON THE BATTERY AND THERE WAS NONE DID THEY CHECK ALTERNATOR OUTPUT? IF IT WAS IN SPECS THEN YOU MOST LIKELY HAVE A BAD BATTERY. YOU MAY WANT TO HAVE IT CHECKED AGAIN. THE DEALER IS NOT ABOVE MAKING MISTAKES

you can drive even if your alternator is not charging but your problem is you have a posetive wire touching the body sumwhere trace your wires properly n u will find the problem

Hi my car wont start,after i get a jump it will run that hold day then the next morning nothing will come on no lights anything
your charging system is working okay or you would have to have it jumped more than once a day.you have a bad battery that needs replacing as running it during the day the charging system keeps the battery charged up enough to work.you could have a drain on the battery from something in the car that is not shutting down that you will have to have checked out.or sitting over night the battery runs down to the point that it needs to be jumped started if its an old battery(over5-6years).

2003 Pontiac Grand AM will not start. Security light is NOT on. Dealer replaced the switch(900 bucks) same issue 7 days later, replaced switch again, 5 days later same issue. Was told I had a bad battery....
sounds to me like you better find another dealer or possibly an auto electric dealer they should have done it right the first time

The car is a 1992 cadillac deville you can drive the car fine but when you go home and don't drive the car for a few days the battery goes dead and you haft to charge the battery and then the car works...
It doesn't have a short. Shorts blow fuses. It has high parasitic drain. On a cad it might be hard to find but not impossible. Do you own an ammeter?

Yes, Now that it has set another code it can be diagnosed. The blinking should be a steady on light. This time the code should be right.
Also you can go to Autozone or Oreillys and they will scan the car for you. They will tell you the code and parts it needs. Keep that a secret and then go back to whoever is doing the work and let them scan the car too. That way you can keep them honest and know that the right parts were replaced.

I have a 2006 H2 Hummer, I drove it to mrytle Beach, SC about 3 hours away. I parked at the hotel to chech in, got back in my vehicle about 15 minutes later and I could not get it to start. Had to be towed...
All the classic symptoms of a bad starter. A bad starter will work fine when cold but once it heats up, will require more power to work. Shame on the dealer for not recognizing this! A new battery with a full charge will work for a little while but if its the starter, I'm sure the problem will return Have your charging system checked out (most places will do this free of charge) Assuming the charging system checks out ok, I'd have the starter checked. Radio CD not working & lights don't flash remote keylock
Sometime the computer in car will shut down a circuit when it sees a problem even if it only occure once. You can try to disconnect the battery for at least 2 min so all sys power off (some have capacitors that mantaine a charge for short time). If a battery disconnect does not clear problem you have go to dealer and have them to clear codes and reset you modules and your preferences

Sound like the car is not recharging the battery as you drive. Take it to a different shop and ask them to test the alternator and entire charging system as well as the battery.
