Question about Dyson Air Multiplier 10" AM01 Bladeless Fan - Satin Iron/Blue

1 Answer

My Dyson Bladeless Fan/Heater is displaying E7 after a few minutes of running and then shuts down? It is brand new (a couple of months old) and been run about 3 times.

Turning back on after a while. It runs for a few minutes then it defaults back to the code and shuts down.

How does a bladeless fan work

The air is drawn in by a fan in the base and then directed up into a ring. It comes out of a crack all around the ring and passes over a shape like that of an aircraft wing. Industrial designer Sir James Dyson named his fan the Air Multiplier

Dyson fan heater keeps shutting off

Hi Deb, it's Jack at Dyson.

If your AM04 fan heater runs for a few moments then shuts off, this is likely to be because the target temperature you've selected (shown on the LED display on the base of the machine) is lower than the ambient room temperature. The intelligent thermostat is engineered to ensure the machine will only run as needed to maintain the target temperature you've chosen.

Using the remote, or the controls on the base, to raise the target temperature by a few degrees should resolve the issue. I've included our Getting started guide below which shows how to adjust the temperature.

If you would like some further help from our experts after you've given this a try, please call 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).
