I'm having the same problem and my husband is very good with fixing things - replaced the lcd on my laptop - works better than new. I have found a website that tells how to replace the lcd on the SD600 - but I have an SD630 - would it be the same procedure? Any help would be appreciated. My cemera outdoor picture come out bright/white on Canon PowerShot A470 but indoor picture and video picture comes out good. So kindly give me this proble suggession.
The camera is defective. But as you've only had the camera three months it still is under warranty. Canon is usually very responsive to these type of problems and will bend over backwards to make things right (probably the most responsive of the camera companies).
What do pictures taken at night/poor light look like ?? if they are an improvment ,
your Exposure/Auto-Light/White Balance settings may be horribly configured.
Firstly I'd try Resetting the camera to default settings by using the settings menu .
>Menu >Settings >Reset default settings
This should eliminate poor settings as a suspect for the problem.
