I believe I need a copper strap to ground from the neutral wire on the back of the range to the frame, but I want to know if it's OK to just do that and leave the green ground wire connected to nothing on both ends. And then, can I just buy a copper grounding strap at Lowe's and attach it to the neutral wire and frame anywhere?
There should be a short metal strap or the center lug itself connected to the body of the range from factory you only need a four wire cord if you are in a modular or mobile home then connect green wire to any screw on range body itself such as at large wire clamp where cord enters body of appliance
