The problem with your sidekick 2008 screen is the backlight is burned out. this can happen if dropped or if it gets wet.

The only way to fix it is to replace the screen. It is fairly easy to do and new ones run about 65 dollars on ebay.

go to t-mobile and tell them to fix the light i have the same problem but atleast my sidekick works

yes you need to replaced the LCD to make it work again.

take the battery out and let it dry for a couple of days should restart, but it has to be dry. if it is dry you should follow any directions it say to reload the phone...hope it helps.....

if its been under a year you can go to the dealer that sold it to you and get a warranty exchange

the sim card goes on the bottom of the phone under the rubber thing (idk what to call it) you need to lift it up and you will see a pictuer of hoe to pu in your sim card and for the battery idk

In both cases you lcd screen has died, the backlight will usually go first.

Fixing them is easy, a new lcd screen assy can be purchased from ebay for less than 45 dollars. It only take the removal of 2 screws to replace it. Read throught the procedure below.

i have sk 3... the backlight does not work. And the keypad light works sometimes. Does the LCD light need t/be replaced?

go on ebay a search for "sidekick 3 lcd" there are dealers on there that have the part for around 40 dollars, and will email you instructions on how to replace it too
