SOURCE: uniden 5.8Ghz phone.

You need to reset the main base unit. Unplug the power from the back of the base. While the power is disconnected, press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. Wait for a long beep tone. When the display shows 88 or P, press play button one time. If you have a phone without an answering machine, disconnect the power from the back of the base, press and hold find hs button while reconnecting power.

SOURCE: CALLER ID ONLY SHOWS "INCOMING CALL"

I was using this site while trouble shooting this in the US...
If the customer has DSL with filters in the same system go back to the NID and Isolate the DSL,
test the caller id and call waiting caller id. If this works you have Data Bleed coming from the DSL.
Make sure there are not two sets of filters on the line. Tjis customer had a filter with the DSL modem.

Doing this we just fixed an on going problem for a field tech who was the second callout on a customer issue.

SOURCE: ADDING HANDSET SAYS OUT OF RANGE

A search of Uniden support only said to call 1-800-297-1023 with handset registration issues. The rep picked up quickly and walked me through the reset procedure. Here it is step-by-step:

1. Remove battery
2. Hold down the * and # buttons and reinsert battery. You should hear a long beep. If not retry. (This is a bit awkward but hold the handset upside down and it's workable)
3. Screen will be blank. Immediately press the right soft menu button.
4. Screen will report that EEPROM is clearing and then state EEPROM Clear Ok
5. Remove battery (yes again)
6. Reinsert battery (this time there's no need to hold down any buttons)
7. Handset will reboot with Welcome screen and then state that phone must be registered (this is the status a handset should be in from the factory)
8. Place handset on base and it will register as normal

Uniden cordless phone caller id quit working

Using the Caller ID and Redial Lists
Caller ID (CID) is a service available from your telephone provider that shows the phone number (and sometimes the caller's name) of incoming calls. Contact your telephone provider for more information.
Caller ID list

Redial list

When a call comes in, the phone displays the number and name (if available) of the caller.
The phone saves the information for the last 30 received calls to the

CID list.
When it's in standby, the handset shows how many calls came in since the last time you checked the CID list.

Each handset remembers the last 5 numbers you dialed on it. The redial list is separate for each handset.

One of my hand sets for my philips CD235 phone wont ring

The handsets have a set-up menu which allows you to determine the
loudness of the ring. find it and adjust the ring loudness to suit you.
If the handset still does not respond to incoming calls, you have a
problem with the handset. If so, follow the instructions on the
guaranty for a repair or replacement of the handset.

Caller ID won't work on base or cordless handsets. Phone co. tried to do a RESET - still won't display any phone number display shows incoming call

One of the most common problem is other telephone equipment may be interfering with your unit.
Disconnect all other equipment and try again
If you are using DSL/ADSL service, you may need a filter.

I have recently purchased a DECT Elite 9035 with an additional handset and can't get the answering system will not record any incoming messages. I have done everything that it says in the instruction...

Uniden Australia has offered to replace the phone free of charge.
I feel that I should not have to pay for support when the phone is only about eight days old.

While on the phone, unable to answering incoming calls

The specs list "Call waiting " as one of the features (see: http://www.philips.ca/c-p/SE7450B_37/-/specifications) but the manual (available in the support tab) doesn't show any way to do this.
I'd recommend asking the Philips help centre, hopefully they'll be able to tell you how to do this. If they can't, point out that you bought it with the expectation of this feature working given that they list it as a feature (listed under Convenience/Call Management at the link above). They might be able to swap it for a model that can. Or refund your money. And fix their specs page. Intercom hold/transfer is not really call waiting.
Good luck.

No ring on handset

It may have lost the link to the base unit. Make a note of all the personal details, stored number, etc., then reset the handset. Do this by pressing the spanner button until the display changes, then press and hold the 'R' (delete) button until the handset resets. You'll have to set it up again, but at least it will link.
Spanner then 1 for ringtone, CID for volume.
Spanner then 2 for keypad bleep, 1=off, 2=on.
both cases press spanner to confirm changes.
