have you replaced the battery and checked.

Not sure how a TV made it's way into Apple Mac laptop problems but hey, stuff happens.

Take the batteries out of the remote and see if that sorts it.

The best way is to just unplug,replug the tv back like an hour later.The tv setting and colors,will automaticly,return it to the Factory tv setting.

Sticky menu control button on the tv or could be a defective main board. Have seen both cause the problem. you can try and unplug tv for about 5 minutes or so and see if it resets itself..

With remote, hit MENU, (use up/down arrows) & scroll to SETUP. Hit ENTER & scroll to TV. Hit ENTER & scroll to AUTO CHANNEL SEARCH. Hit ENTER & scroll to CABLE. Hit ENTER & scroll to AUTO. Hit ENTER, wait as it scans (about 5 min). Your done.

Have you totally unplugged the TV?
If not do so for 10 minutes and see if it resets.
Try to find a remote that goes with TV>

P.s. Make sure you do not have the saftey lock on. You can adjust the control;s from built in adjustments.

GO TO MENU, THEN SETUP, SCROLL DOWN TO TIMER AND MAKE SURE IT IS ON 0 (ZERO) MIN. SOUNDS LIKE ITS PROGRAMMED TO GO SLEEPAFTER A CERTAIN TIME. THIS TV ALSO CUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY IN 15 MIN. IF ITS TUNED TO A VACANT CHANNEL( NO PICTURE).

I have had a problem like what you stated.

I turned TV off. Then unplugged the TV, for 5 mins.
Then plugged the TV back in the power outlet.

Also try the menu button on the TV itself, NOT the remote.

Scroll thru the menu button, with alt volumn & channel buttons
make changes.
