I had the same problem. So I will try to guide you by button push method (because I didn't understand anything in Dutch that said on the panel). If you look at the polar main wrist watch (easy to say) you will see 5 button. 2 of left and 3 on right. 2 left are top -backlight (21) bottom - back or exit from menu (22). The 3 right buttons are top - scroll up (31), middle - menu (32) and bottom -scroll down (33). Now we know the button number here we go.
Hold 22 for 3 sec. You will see current time showing up. Press 33 once -- Setting ---> press 32 once ---> watch time and date ---> press 33 three time ----> general setting shows up ----> press 32 once ----> button sound shows up ---> press 33 twice ---> language shows up --->press 32 once ----> language blinks ----> press 33 or 31 till you see english or your language of choice ---->press 32 once ----> language is set ---->press 22 for 3 sec and you are back to the watch menu. Hope that helps. This will guide you even if you don't understand anything from the language.
I had the same problem. I opened my zen V plus and noticed that the recording switch did not have the proper tactile feedback, which means the spring is somehow jammed and the contact blade can open or close the contact randomly. I scratched away the top half of the plastic casing (which was abnormally soft) and removed with a tweezer the tiny blade that closes the contact. I refit the whole thing back together and it works fine. Obviously the voice recording function is gone, but personally, I don't care...ht tactile feedback (spring not working properly. So I decided
try deleting som files from your mp3 if it says full and try if itl work or copying your file first to a backup then reformating your mp3 player then copy the file back then see if itl work.
The problem is that the battery gets old and swells up and presses on the back of the button. I had to pop it open after watching a few youtube instructions, but the only way to get the button to stay unstuck was to leave the case slightly open at the top. When I close the case the swollen battery stops it working again. Tried removing the foam backing from the hard drive, but this did not help. It still works great now in my docking station but I would not want to take it portable with the case not properly closed.
There is no "safe" way to repair this problem. You could apply a dab of electrician's glue to the underside of the button and place it back in place, and see if the button's function, but there is no guarantee that the glue will not intefere with the player's proper functioning. Get a replacement, and don't press the buttons so hard next time. :-)
problems with the flash memory, memory got corrupted somehow while downloading the files, there is not much you can do, try to connect back to PC and format the player, if it will show there, but it probably won't
