Question about Computers & Internet
I have a ESI FD4003 mouse, and anytime I leave it unattended for a little while (10 minutes or more), it seems to invert itself, moving it up or down makes the cursor go left and right, etc. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? I've had it for about a week now, and I picked it up from a Family Dollar. It hasn't been dropped, and has been doing this since I first put in the battery, and it's been driving me crazy! I've tried searching for a solution, but I can't find one. The only way that I can make the mouse go back to normal, is by turning it off, and back on again. And it's quite a hassle when I'm in my game and I leave to walk the dogs only to come back and find out that the mouse has inverted itself again.

sounds like you have reverse mouse enabled go into the control panel find the properties for you mouse, this should be a check box you can disable.

SOURCE: mouse keeps droping items
Sound like the left mouse button is just worn out so the connection of the switch inside is not solid.
If it is a wireless mouse, you may be losing connection due to interference
Try a different mouse

I used to get this problem. It is VERY annoying as you must know. try pushing the windows icon button in the top right corner of your keyboard(thats where it is on my keyboard)then use your arrow keys to scroll up to control panel, select mouse by using arrow keys and then use the tab and arrow keys to open the mouse keypad pagetab and push enable and enter key to turn it on.
IF WHEN YOU DO THAT AND your in the touchpad properties but there is no 'enable' and it says no hardware detected, then go into the same mouse window from the control panel and go to the hardware tab and either try to update driver or use the trouble shoot button.
Hope this helped =]
