Paslode pin gun.. Battery fullycharged but no power and indicates on gun glows red. Any answers.

First what kind of gun? If Paslode- may need new gas cartridge. And is power light green (still paslode gun.) If other type of gun can't help. sorry.

I've used paslode for years and whenever there was a "hiss" of air and no fire- it was o-rings- When were the o-rings changed last? And how do you know they are in 'good shape'? You can't tell by just looking at them. If that isn't the problem then I can't help. Just as an aside- do you oil the gun (down the air intake nipple) every time you use it? Lack of oil will wear out o-rings fast. Sorry if this isn't overly helpfull but most gun problems are o-ring or seal related unless you've worn out or damaged a mechanical part.

hi it could be your gun if it is flashing red&green this means theres a fault with the gun if it is just red try cleaning the battery treminals with a bit of sand paper some times they get a bit dirty and dont get enough contact with the gun hope this helps

Paslode troubleshooting indicates that the battery contacts might be corroded, try cleaning them first and also look at the contacts inside the tool for same condition, they also say it might be a bad battery. Do you have another one that you can try? Let me know if you need more help before voting please. Thanks

problem solved - battery charger indicated that battery was charged with green light on, took battery ouit & placed it back in charger & red light came on after doing this three times the battery was fully charged and the gun worked fine.

If the battery is flashing red, the battery is not charged or on a minimal charge.
Have you attempted to recharge it and does it still give you this symptom?

I had a similar problem with my impulse framer. The solution was to adjust the battery contacts within the gun. The contacts were not making good connection with the battery. I also adjusted the safety foot out to max so that the trigger mech. could function more reliably. Other problems I have had with this gun were related to the proper seating of the fuel cylinder and condition of the battery. My battery would no longer hold a proper charge causing the red light error.
