Not printing red ink clearly

The cartridge head may have gotten clogged. Take the cartridge out and clean the head with a damp cloth and print a couple of pages to set this right.

Also, print a test page to make sure the ink hasn't dried up. If it has, you will have to get a new cartridge.

Replace the cartridge - the red color tank is probably empty. It may still have green and blue ink.

Hi is this a new printer? If you've just installed a new color ink, it would prompt you to align the cartridge or print some test page.. If the RED doesnt show on the test page, then try to perform maintenance on it.. Like Clean cartridge or clean print head.. it may be clogged.. if it still does this, try changing the color ink.. If you color ink is from a stock, it may have dried up.. if you bought it just days ago, ask for a replacement.. If all has been done, it maybe the printer itself..

Did you completely remove the protective plastic tape covering the head as well as the copper pins?

I deletd the printer from windows and re-installed the driver. It then behaved normally.

If you haven´t used your inkjet printer for a while it may just be dry ink clogging some of the nozzles in the print head.


To check if yours is clogged...


Remove the ink cartridges
Holding the cartridge upright and press down gently onto a paper towel.

The colour cartridge
you should see YELLOW, MAGENTA (red) and CYAN (blue)

But if any colours are missing? The inks have probably just clogged up? and you will need to buy a new one or if you know you still have ink then you can easily unclog it with a
Magic Inkjet Flush Kit (Which you can find on Ebay)

MIXED COLOURS
If you have others colours coming out then the colours have mixed...
Sometimes caused when people put tape onto the inks to keep them moist but instead the colours mix through capilary action.


If so... leave print head sitting on a paper towel for a few mins until the correct colours appear.

To prevent an ink clog it is best if you print something regularly about every 10 days to keep the tiny print head nozzles / jets open. Otherwise the ink in the print head will thicken. Then it´s like trying to pass a camel through the eye of a needle.

So to preven inkjet ink from clogging print something every 10 days if you dont have anything to print, use something like these test prints

seems ur color catridge is empty with some colors, go for refill or replace

probably dirty or broken print head. suggest you replace it or get new blue cartridge if your machine has seperate colour cartridges.

Since the printer cannot detect the amount of ink in the cartridge, the OEM companies place a chip inside of each cartridge that counts the number of pages that you print. When the cartridges reach a certain number of pages, they automatically tell your printer that you are running low on ink, even if it is not empty yet.

I have found that using warm water on the paper towel clears the prints up better.

I tried all the above and it is stll not reading the ink levels.
