What does a red blinking light on the bottom right corner of the TV mean?

We tried to disconnect the TV and reconnect but the TV does not come on and there is a red blinking light on the bottom right corner.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. What does the red blinking light mean on the TV when the power goes out?
Try a reset to this set; and then check. To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Red light blinking
blinking of red light indicates that fault in main board or related boards. you need to open back cover remove each cable connected with main board one by one & put on tv after each cable is disconnected. if red light stops blinking on disconnecting any of the cables, that means related board is defective, if it does not stops blinking, check the power supply is generating proper voltages. if it is ok that means the main board is defective.

To answer your question: The light you see blinking, is actually the TV sending out an SOS code.
In most cases this SOS code means that the main board has died. But without knowing the Make and Model of this TV, it is hard to just assume this is the case.
You will need to take this TV to a local TV Repair shop and have the Power supply board and Main Board tested for issues and/or replacement.

Sounds like a backlight is out. If its still under warranty, exchange it. First try unplugging it for two minutes to reset the t.v.

Please try disconnecting all the cables from the TV including the power cables then reconnect them back after a few minutes. You may also try connecting the power cord from the TV directly to a functional wall outlet. If the issue persists then service will be required.
