What does error code H4 mean in the heat mode?

Not answer my question is what is the solution for wall mounted unit Model number 18cith1 has error H4 this error meaning here mention system protection.

press on the keypad, # * C * the machine will enter a diagnostic mode. Then enter 14 as if to make 14 copies. You may then have to press 1 and execute the program. But that will clear the H4 code 99 percent of the time. Once you enter 14, just press start and follow the directions on the screen. An H4 means the machine was just slow to warm up. It can be a fuser error, but there actually being a problem is extremely rare. Performing a clear 14 will almost always clear that.

H4 Error code means "Heat Roller low temp", meaning when the machine tried to warm up, the fuser temperature didn't get up to the preset temperature in a predetermined amount of time. This can be caused my many things, including interruptions in the start-up procedure, bad fuser bulb, bad thermistor etc..

To try to clear the code, get into the simulation mode by pressing the "#" key, the interrupt key, the "C" key then the interrupt key again, in rapid succession. When you get to the simulation mode, type in "14" then press start. It may ask you to verify that you want to do this, press whatever it says for yes, then press start key again. When it gets done, push the "CA" or clear all button. The machine will restart and hopefully the code will be gone.

If the code remains, then you will need service on your fuser. Call a local company to come out and take a look at the copy machine, and they will be able to tell you more from their inspection.

H4 Heat roller lowtemperature detection resetcode 14

H4 is a fuser error code. it basically means that the fuser is heating up. from what i can see the fuser lamp alone will be about $60.00. that would be the best case scenario if the rest of the fuser parts are ok. the upper fuser roller is 135.00 and lower 144.00.

A H4 code is a fuser error code. It means the fuser is not warming up correctly. I believe you must fix the problem before the code will clear. It is most likely the fuser heating lamp is blown or it looks like a candy cane. It may also be the thirmal fuse or thirmister.. Good Luck

An H4 error code indicates trouble in the fusing section - a certain temperature has not been reached within a specified time. It could mean a dirty/bad thermistor or dirty/bad thermostat (both inside the fuser unit. Make sure both of these are clean and there is not debris/paper stuck inside the unit.
You can try resetting the code by : Get into SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other "#" "interupt" "C" "interupt" then enter 14 and the start key - confirm if requested then make sure the copier restarts.

This mean you have low temp. on heat lamp 2 program interput clear interrupt 14 print may clear this code. if not you can look at the fusing unit and reset thrmo breaker that may be pop off.

-H4-21 means:Sub heater lamp abnormally low temperature detection. The setup temperature (about –25°C: Sim 43-1-1) is not reached within the specified time (about 32sec) from turning on the power ON SW. (When the temperature falls below 140°C in the standby mode.)
-Causes:
Sub heater thermistor defect
Sub heater lamp failure
Sub thermostat failure
Control PWB failure
-Check the sub heater lamp blinking with SIM 5-2-2.
When the lamp blinks normally: Check the thermistor and the harness. Check the MCU PWB thermistor input circuit.
When the lamp does not light: Check for disconnection of the heater lamp and thermostat. Check the interlock switch. Check the power PWB and the MCU PWB lamp control circuit.
Clear the display of self-diagnostics with SIM 14.
The H4 errors will not reset by themselves. You must enter service mode to reset this error even if the problem has been repaired. The reset process is outlined below (DO NOT USE ANY OTHER FUNCTIONS IN SERVICE MODE):

Unit should power off and the restart.
