Most likely it's time to replace the drum unit. Mfr Part #: Canon 1342A003AA, GPR-2, F43-6701-700. Those drum units only last 55,000 copies and then the copy quality starts to degrade.

there are two types of counter : mechanical total counter is infront of the machine just open the frontdoor cover its on the left side if there is 3 counter , the topmost counter is the total.
if you want to see the e-counter press *(with head)> 2&8 at the same time then* (with head)the display will change press COPIER>COUNTER you will see all the counter, usually this counter does not match with the mechanical one

First off I would recomment a new printhead. Short of that run the printhead alignment and calibration.

When you were replacing the drum did you tuch the drum surface?Best would be that you take some toner on piece of cloth, and polish the drum, while turning it in good direction, that the cleaning blade can clean it.After you must let it copy about 50 copies.
You can try to replace the whole drum unit cexv14, or clean the laser unit.
Also could it be that the toner unit, or toner cleaning blade are not properly distibutes the toner accross the developing/toner cylinder
