Vertical color lines on display screen

When i turn on my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70 camera, I get a series of colored vertical lines that appear on half the screen. I have had the camera for a couple of years and have never experienced this problem before. I charge the battery on a regular basis. Can you offer any insight into what may be causing this problem ?

Hi!
If the lines appear while looking at the menu, then it's a broken LCD. If the lines appear only while taking pictures - faulty CCD. Contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, you can contact me at [email protected] and I will give you a good price.

If your pictures taken with the camera are seen when downloaded to the PC, the it is sure that the LCD is faulty or damaged.
The presence of vertical lines show that the processor driver to the LCD has failed. You have confirm cost of the new LCD before it can be decided.

CCD Imager in your camera is probably defective and needs to be replaced. If the unit is still under warranty, i advised to have sony fixed the issue for you.

My sony cyber super steadyshot model DSC-T70 flash does not work. Nosmile icon appears on the touch panel when shutter buton is pressed.

go into setup menu and turn on the smile detection. go to photo and press the right arrow should have a pict of flash icon . press until the flash says auto.
