I get subtitles on my Tecknika tv but each time I switch off when I restart the subtitles are off and I can't get them back on without doing a reset

Subtitles come from the cable or satellite decoder, not from the set itself. You need to turn them off with the decoder remote.

How do I remove talking subtitles on my digihome tv without a remote

If the subtitles are played by the TV then you can stop closed captioning. However, if the captions are part of the movie, then you have to select movie settings at the beginning of the movie or click these using the menu keys to get manual control without a remote.

I have a 32 inch Upstar LED TV. How do I turn off closed captioning?

On the remote there is a button for Subtitles. Press that button and the Subtitles will disappear. If it is not on the remote then you have to find it in the TV's settings. 'Closed captions' are old words. We now call these 'Subtitles' and all TV's with remotes have a 'Subtitle' button. Look for it, then press while pointing the remote to the TV.

Subtitle Problem: Onkyo TX-sr605

The only remote that will definitely turn the sat subtitles on/off is the sat remote. The other subtitle buttons on the other remotes refer to the DVD subtitles and the subtitles generated by the tuner in the tv. The subtitle option is greyed out on the tv because you are not on the tv tuner.
