I have a Jet Clean System that knocked over and laid on its side for a week. The cleaning fluid must have leaked into the circuitry because it no longer works. What can be done to repair it?

Cleaning the Jet Clean System stand and fluid container. Plugged in again but still doesn't work.

SOURCE: cleaning mode not pulling cleaning fluid up into chamber for cleaning process

I have had the same problem.I sent an e-mail to Remington and they sent me a whole new unit including the shaver and accesories.Problem is the replacemant is doing the same thing again as the first unit.I got it for x-mas and am getting ready to contact remington for a 3rd unit,it is only June. What I am doing now is changing the fluid and filter and tip the unit forward to bring fluid in to the head cleaning chamber. It's half ass way to have to something, but Remington does have a problem with this and needs to recall or replace with an upgrade when available

SOURCE: Jet clean system will not clean.

I had the exact same problem. Then I put more solution in so that it was just above the MAX line and it worked fine. So make sure you have enough cleaning solution in the system and it should work great.

SOURCE: Norelco/Philips jet clean shaver cleaning bath no longer works

I have had three 1050CC shavers all with the same problem. Apparently other models have the same issue. After about a year of use, the unit reverses after dipping the shaver into the cleaning solution for a second. Two were replaced by Philips within the 2 year warranty period. I still use the 3rd one. There are several things you can try. If the cleaning solution is low this will cause the shaver to reverse and not clean. Add more cleaning solution. I have noticed that sometimes I have to add more fluid to the unit after a week of use. Sometimes it is necessary to fill the solution a little above the max fill line. Be careful though. Filling it too much above the max fill line can cause cleaning fluid to run out of the bottom after a cleaning cycle. If the above two fixes don't work, then press the clean button and after the unit reverses back up, wait about 5 or 10 minutes and press it again and it should stay down as long as there is enough cleaning solution in the unit. If you wait too long or too little to press the button, it won't work. I have noticed if I press the button immediately after it reverses the same problem occurs. Also if I wait 30 minutes before pressing the button the same problem occurs. There must be some sort of timing cycle. You may have to repeat this process a few times to get it to stay down and clean. This is the only way I can get mine to clean now. Obviously something is getting dirty or wearing out over time in the cleaning system. Since I have had 3 shavers with the same problem, I know many others have had it too. Philips must be aware of the problem. It is frustrating that they don't offer help on their own website and consumers have to band together to solve problems that they should be solving. The two year guarantee is very generous, but there is a design flaw with this product.

SOURCE: Braun Clean and Renew not working

I took the file on a nail clipper and turned the impeller inside the unit. Remove the cleaning fluid from the unit. Turn the unit upside down, On the part that sticks into the large hole of the fluid reservoir you'll see the impeller. Just turn it it enough to dislodge any whiskers and try it again. Worked for me. Good luck

I have a Yamaha EF1000is and it surges. I have cleaned and checked all interior jets float needle fuel lines muffler and it still surges

Make sure there are no vacuum leaks on the engine manifold side of carburetor. There are 3 o 4 pieces on the engine side so inspect well.

If no leaks on engine manifold side then likely there's a blockage somewhere in the carburetor high speed circuit. Most economical solution is chinese knock-off for ~$20 US delivered.

If you can't find a cheap replacement then you'll need to do a deeper clean of carburetor by removing welch plugs and submerge in carb cleaner. You will need new welch plugs (kit) and likely kit will cost more than a knock-off carb.

Before tearing down carb, you could try Seafoam fuel treatment... probably less the 50:50 chance it will clear.

run the fault codes and look for knock detector problem. The clear fluid at the passenger side of the engine bay may be water from the ac system draining out.

First use starting fluid or carburetor cleaner squirt into carburetor and see if engine attempts to start. If it does then the main carburetor jet is probably plugged. The main jet is usually the bolt that holds the float bowl on. Sometimes this can be an adjustable jet. If it looks like a standard bolt head then remove it and make sure the jet holes are clean. One hole on each side and one vertical to connect to the thru holes from each side. If these are clean then the carburetor needs a rebuild kit and extensive cleaning.
2. If engine did not try to start check for spark. If no spark the ignition coil on the flywheel may need replacing or the spark plug may be completely fouled.

Remember this unit only needs fuel air and spark. then these are in the correct ratio the engine will run.

Particles coming out of the jets.

This is caused by bacteria build up inside the pipes of the tub. You should use a product like System Flush, Jet Fresh, Jet Clean, Whirlout or similar to clean the tubing.
You can prevent that just as easy by using the tub 4 + times a week.

2003 Ford Escape: When I press the button to my rear winshield washer the motor turns on but the fluid actually runs out onto the ground just above the right front tire wheel well on the passenger...

Sometimes due to deposite of sediments in the hose or the joint of hose and reservoir the fluid stops flowing. Find out which is the washer reservoir, (there is one for the radiator with green liquid, and one for the washer with clear liquid) and the hose that leads to the windshield. Clean the whole hose of any blockages. Also check and clean the jet at the end of the hose. take a paper pin and clean the jet with it. And make sure that the hose is attached to the reservoir. Ask someone to run the washer and see where all these items lie.

My bike has been sitting for a year and I put fresh fuel and oil in it but I can't get it to start without starting fluid, I'm trying to check the carb float for gunk or something but I can't figure out...

the fuel inthe carby will have gone off and blocked the pilot jet. you will need to remove carb and clean out. to do this you need to remove seat, tank, raise the rear sub frame so you can get out carb. once carb removed you will need to clean out needle valve, main & pilot jet, may even need to put fine wire through pilot jet to clear blocked jet. reassemble and bike should run,I do a 4 a week with this problem.

Wiper fluid comes out only on driver side when trying to clean window. Is there some sort of manifold or solenoid valves that dispense the fluid to each side. Also when trying to clean rear window no...

Look at the fluid canister, You will see a hose that leads to the hood and splits to the right and left. The hose that leads to the pass. side could be clogged up or the fluid jet that fluid comes from could be clogged up. Disconnect the hose from the pass side jet, and see if fluid comes out when turning on. If so, then the jet is the problem. These can be bought from a parts store, but will not be OEM. the front and back are controlled with one pump, which I don't think is the problem. The rear may be the same problem, try doing the same as you do for the front. Sometimes the car wash soap you use or wax can build up and block the jet hole up.
