OK, changed batteries both at the same time, I know, didn't see that part. nor do I have an instruction manual. When I turn it on, all I get is a screen with list 1, list 2, list and 4, then 1,2,3,4,5 in the viertical column, In number 1 is 2.2266, at the very bottom right is a row of 2's. I can't get it to do anything but boot to this screen. Your help would be appreciated. Paul Shea

hello sir .. does your batteries are charged already?? if your batteries are fully charged and your camera didn`t turn on, there`s a possibility that your camera has a problem. You can visit the store where you bought your camera and you can ask questions there why does your camera didn`t turn on whenever your batteries are ok .. :)
The procedure for removing the batteries at end of life for recycling is described in the user manual, naturally no instructions are given for re-assembly - take notes as you take it apart and better yet do sketches. The batteries are standard 800mAh NiMh AAA with nickel plated SS solder mounting ribbons.
Mine was bought as a spare and sat on a shelf unused for 3 years - when I went to use it the power unit didn't work due to dodgy soldering on the internal pcb.
The problem is either compatibility; try right clicking on the icon and selecting Properties and then Compatibility tab. Click on run this program in compatibility mode for: and try the different options. by selecting, clicking ok and trying to run the program and if it does not work then select the next one.
Or it could be a failed install either your ant virus picked up something and corrupted the install or the computer must have been running a lot of programs at the same time.
These kinds of problems are usually solved by switching off any constantly running programs such as antiques, firewalls etc until the program has been installed and then enabling them when installed.
