How do I set up Wi-Fi?

I need to set up Roku with Wi-Fi on my Visio or Samsung TV. I have the Visio TV in another room a few rooms from the router.

First, you will need you network password, if password protected. Next, connect your Roku device to the television nearest your router.
Start your Roku device, and wait for the Roku main-screen to appear. Then scroll down to "Settings" and hit "OK" on your Roku remote. Next scroll to "Network" and hit "OK' on your remote, then choose wireless, or wired. If you using an Ethernet cable to connect your Roku, you won't need a network password. If your trying to make a wireless connection, this wireless choice is where you'll need your network password.

I have a roku stick in my living room and my bedroom also have a wiifi extender but in my bedroom I am getting too many cutouts with the red circle what can I do or are you having problems
Sounds like weak signal problem or slow wi fi speed. Locate your wi fi transmitter as high as possible. Also check out your wi fi speed to make sure it isadequate for your service.

I have a Roku in my bedroom & when I try to watch Netflix it just spins & spins & takes forever to load. Once it starts, it stops & starts spending again.
First step, of course, is to unplug the Roku for 10 seconds then plug it back in again and let it connect.

Assuming a Wi-Fi connection is what you are using, it is possible (likely) that your Roku is too far from the Wi-Fi router. Your best solution is to relocate the Wi-Fi router closer to your Roku, or to get a signal booster to extend the range of your Wi-Fi signal.

On a more technical note, your Wi-Fi router may be broadcasting on a channel that has lots of conflict with other Wi-Fi signals in your neighborhood. Changing the broadcast channel requires that you have an administrator login to your router and can make changes. You might have to call your service provider and have them make the changes for you (if you smile right over the phone, they may give you your router's login information, but don't count on it). Best channels to select are generally 1, 6 or 11 to avoid overlap with other channels.

If you have a smart phone and can download an app, look for a Wi-Fi Analyzer app (free). This will show you the other signals around you, what channel they are broadcasting on, and the strength of the signal.

Your TV is not wi fi capable. Best bet is to get a ROKU player. It will connect wirelessly to your router so you can get You Tube videos.

if new service provider gave you the encyrption key and has dhcp on then this should start Roku working on Wi FI.

New service provider would have installed a wi fi router this is most likely on 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1 go to cmd prompt type in
ipconfig
then press enter key
Not the default ip address
the router should have a wi fi security option that tells you if the wi fi is encrypted and what ssid is being broadcasted.
DCHP should be enabled Roku will use this to assign itself an ip address once connected to Wi FI.

you need to know routers admin user name and password as well

It's connected to my wi fi but it's telling me it can't connect to roku it says error code 011
The E011 error code is usually a router firewall problem. If you can turn off the firewall in the router when installing Roku that may solve the issue. This is not to be confused with the computer firewall in Windows which is left ON. If your object is to get Netflix on your TV, and not knowing what brand or model TV you have nor whether or not you have an existing wi-fi system, that question is a little difficult to answer. For example, I have Suddenlink cable, wi-fi, and can access Netflix and other similar providers through either my TV or TiVo, although I always go through TiVo. You may need to update your TV.
