Lots of cameras won't let you turn off the flash in Full Auto mode. Trying changing your camera to Apature Priority ( A, Av) or Shutter Priority (S, Tv) or Manual (M) and see if the option to turn off the flash appears in the menu.

How do i turn off my flash on my panasonic dmc-fh27?

Touch [MENU] to bring up the menu. Touch [REC] to enter the recording menu. Touch [FLASH] to enter the flash menu. To turn the flash off, select "Forced Flash: OFF" (lightning bolt in a circle with a slash through it).
The flash menu is described on page 66 of the advanced manual.

Panasonic DMC-Z28 - the flash button does not call up a flash setting menu and so the flash won't turn on.

Is your Z28 set up to do burst shooting as this will stop the flash working, click on the trash button and turn off the burst shooting. Hope this helps.

Can't turn the flash on, it's set to "off" on default; and when i try to turn it on there is no "on" option in the flash menu, just "off"

check that you do not have the setting on burst as it will not be able to flash in this mode. when looking atthe screen about to take a photo, select menu, the first thingthat comes up is the mode, if it is in burst change in to normal and your camera should now have the option for flash or auto again :) good luck

I want to take a picture of an old photograph, how do I stop the flash coming on?

Hi there LisaMarie,

To turn off the Flash, you need to go to Menu, then go to Flash mode.
Select or highlight the icon with the flash with "slash". Exit menu. Flash mode shown by icon at bottom of monitor.

For the illustration on how to do this, you can go to page 24 of this manual.

Standby button flashes i have sound but n o picture it just flashes the standby button for the sony big screen 57 please help

Its possible that the CRTs have shutdown due to a vertical failure. Have you tried pressing menu to see if the onscreen menu will come up, as often the menu will operate when the crts go into blanking for protection. You can also try turning up the CRTs slightly to see if they will turn on.

Hi there, my Nikon D40x flash suddenly stopped working (popping up but not flashing) after I was fooling around with the manual settings, now no matter what I do the "no flash" icon appears beside the...

Try turning camera on,
Then press both Green buttons for a count of 10. This should restore factory reset.

Some models also have a reset button under a connector flap, or go into your menu. Under Custom Setting Menu, choose Menu Reset.

One of these methods should work.

My pictures turn out fuzzy all the time and i can't figure out how to turn on my flash. Please Help! Casio Exilim EX-Z70

Flash should turn on by pressing the "Set" button and then the down arrow until you get to the flash menu. Choose the setting that looks like a lightning bolt.

If that doesn't work press the "Menu" button and then press the "right arrow" until you are on the far right tab. Press the "up arrow" until you come to "Reset." Press the "Right arrow." The camera will ask you if you want to reset it. Tell it "Yes." This will take it back to factory settings and clear any mode that turns the flash off.

Are the pictures fuzzy because the flash isn't working? Are outdoor pictures in daylight fuzzy or OK? If they are fuzzy all the time you may have a lens problem. If they are only fuzzy when the flash is needed, fixing your flash should cure the problem.

Phillips 37PF73203 37 in Television goes straigt to Menu and stays

When I turn on my TV it goes straight to the menu screen. You can still hear sound but no picture. When I try to exit you see the picture for about a second then it automatically flashes back to the menu screen. Even if I try to use the functions in the menu screen it flashes right back to the main menu screen. Very frustrated...need help!

Flash mode locked to Off

Try this, I had the same problem. Here is what I did, I powered off the camera then with the menu button pressed I turned the camera on. This must set the camera back to default settings. I was then able to turn my flash to auto or any other selection.
