Zeiss conquest parallax knob slips

When adjusting the parallax one direction moves fine but the other it slips. If I go back and put a little pressure on it then it will adjust.

I shot my new 4.5x14x44mm conquest scope and tried to adjust the cross hairs according to my shots fired but the shots kept hitting in the same spot after a box of shells. i had it bore sited and i still...

Is the country of origin China.. Sounds like the reticle is stuck,, like from being dropped maybe in shipping. OK, Without any adjustments made shoot it one time, if you tap on the side of the scope, not the top of the turrets with a plastic/rubber hammer and point of impact changes (jumps) its faulty.. you cant fix it.

Dont understand why on top of an side of scope setting there is ur ur instead of left right or up down

The "U" indicates Up on the elevation dial, and the "R" indicates Right on the windage dial. Turn the elevation dial clockwise to move the point of impact up, counterclockwise moves down. Similarly, turning the windage dial clockwise moves Right, and counterclockwise moves left. Here's a scan from the Zeiss Conquest manual:
Good luck!

On my ziess conquest, what turning knobs do what? which one makes it go up and down and which one makes it go left and right?

The top knob should be marked with a "U" and an arrow pointing clockwise. Turning this knob clockwise should adjust point of impact Up, and turning it counter-clockwise should move it Down.

The knob on the side should be marked with a "R" and an arrow pointing clockwise. Turning this knob clockwise should adjust the point of impact Right, and counter-clockwise is Left.

Conquest scope has condensation on the inside any ideas

You don't see too many good scopes fog up, I would send that one back to Zeiss, you paid enough for it, they should stand behind it. If it was a simmons, I would tell you to put it on a heater for a week. But the Zeiss is in the top 10. Hope this helps.

Adjustment Issue

the scope should all ways be fitted with the wind adjustment on the right as you look down the rifle, therefor the top ajuster is for up/down,
right ajuster is wind,,left/right, the easy way to set it up is to aim at some sand with the rifle on a stand or in a jig, shoot one round see were it hits and without moving the rifle, turn the turrets till the cross is over the point were the bullet landed, having a pall to move the turrets for you helps a lot here, the main point is dont move the rifle till the turrets have been moved first,, its that or bore sight it,,, jig the rifle up pointing at a target at say 200yds look down the bore aim the bore at the target lock down the rifle check it by looking down the bore again then set the cross up in the scope on what you see down the bore
you will need to tweek the scope a bit as you havent taken the bullet drop into the ajustment that way,,

Stage slowly falls causing unfocus

Try holding the Right knob so it does not move, whilst firmly moving the Left knob towards you (clockwise), this is the adjusting method used on Zeiss Jena 1960's High End microscopes, e.g Eduaval & Ergaval.
Good luck,
