It is possible you have predictive text switched on.

I suggest you check your instruction manual.

Delete a number that's in my messages and not in my phone directory, like I can see the number of the person when I go to create a new text message based on the letter.

In my phone it goes like this
1 open contacts
2 all contacts
3 find the name of the person
4 click on the name--open
5 click on edit in the upper right hand corner
6 scroll down to the bottom
7 click on Delete Contact

Hi, My samsung soul, when i go into messages and try to type a messages, the numbers 4, 5 and 6 do not show any letters or numbers, instead they have been changed to spaces, star and asterick. these...

Hello idres-m

My suggestion is to hard reset the phone making sure you have backed up your contacts and images and music files. by reseting the OS on the phone reinstalls the software. If this does not work and you are still having the same key pad issues you'll have to get in contact with you network provider or the manufacture of the phone.

To perform the hard reset

Type *2767*3855# into the phone (the last four digits may appear as *'s or /) when done without SIM this will clear any phone security codes in place and reset to default. This is 00000000. It also clears and eliminates any software bugs in the ROM flash (samsung's factory flash is rubbish!) as it forces a full reload. Its always best to do this SIM out as it discharges all the circuits and resets antennas and SIM reader power cycles. ALL DATA IS LOST

I want to change the name on my toshiba dkt3010 corded phone how can i change it

Well, depending on the system that you're using, it may vary on how you change the name.

Assuming that you have a DK Strata series:

Press INTCM, #, 6, 2, 1
Press # (Changes Numbers to Letters)
Press 1 (Cursor Left)
From there just type in your name according to the numbers, and Press 0 to toggle the letter.

Press SPKR to end the process.

Hope this helped, don't forget to say thanks. :)

I can't dial out.

The Phone application on the BlackBerry smartphone automatically converts phone numbers that include letters into the associated numbers.
To key a phone number that contains letters, press the right Shift key or the Alt key and type. The letters appear on your screen, but the BlackBerry smartphone translates them into the appropriate numbers when the phone call is made.
For example, to call 1-877-BLK-BERR (1-877-255-2377) from your BlackBerry smartphone,
  1. Open the Phone application.
  2. Type 1877.
  3. Press and hold the Alt or right Shift key and type BLKBERR.
  4. Display the menu and select Call 1877BLKBERR or press Enter. When the phone number is dialed, the letters are converted to numbers on the screen.
  5. To end the phone call, hold down the Escape key.
To return to the Home screen from any other screen, press the End key.
To lock the device, set a password. Hold the * key.
To unlock the device, press the * key. Click Unlock. Type your password.
To lock the keyboard, hold the * key.
To unlock the keyboard, press the * key

To switch the input language, hold the Alt key and press the Enter key. Continue to hold the Alt key and select a language. Release the Alt key to switch to that language.
To switch back to your original input language, press the Alt key + the Enter key.

I hope this helps

Blackberry 7100g

About fixed dialing
If you enable fixed dialing number (FDN) mode, your device only makes calls to contacts on your FDN list. Your device can dial emergency numbers in FDN mode, even if the numbers are not in the FDN list. If your service provider plan includes SMS, you can also send SMS messages to contacts on your FDN list

so if you have this enabled chances are you have to turn it off.
this is how you turn it on so you should be able to use it as a guide to turn it off.

Turn on fixed dialing
1. In the phone options, click FDN Phone List.
2. Click the trackwheel.
3. Click Enable FDN mode.
4. Type the PIN2 code provided by your service provider.
5. Click the trackwheel.

or if you wanna keep it on and add friends to the fdn

Add contacts to the FDN list
1. In the phone options, click FDN Phone List.
2. Click the trackwheel.
3. Click New.
4. Type the PIN2 code provided by your service provider.
5. Click the trackwheel.
6. Type a name and a phone number.
7. Click the trackwheel.
8. Click Save.

and finally some shortcut keys:
To open the phone, press the Send key.
To end a call, press the End key.
To call a selected contact or phone number, press the Send key. To call a speed dial number, hold the assigned key.
To add an extension to a phone number, press the X key. Type the extension number.
To call your voice mail access number, hold 1.
To type a letter in a number field, hold the Alt key.
To type the first letter on a key, press the letter key once.
To type the second letter on a key, press the letter key twice.
To turn on or turn off mute using the Mute button, press the Mute button.
To turn on or turn off mute using the keypad, press the exclamation point (!) key.
To turn speakerphone on and off during a call, press the period (.) key.
To change the volume during a call, roll the trackwheel.

Dialing on 755p

Ok theres two ways to do this, heres 1 way: press menu while you our on the phone display (the button to the right of alt) use the 5 way navigator to move to the right, scroll down to phone display options. Below the Show Dial Pad/ Show Wallpaper, you'll see where it says typing dials phone number change that to typing starts contact search. This will permanently make it liek your old treo. If you wanna dial numbers press the white button to thte left of z and start dialing the numbers.

Version 2: If you dial normally it will dial numbers, if you press th white button to the left of z then type contact name also works.

hopes this help
