i think so..try to unplug all hardware and devices, just let the motherboard and hardisk..and try to start the PC. if the result still the same.. i think u should replace your Motheboard... :)
I dont think this has much to do with Primavera itself.. Ive experienced this alot on our network with other "older" software applications that are 16 bit programs.
First find the launch icon for P3 and right click it, under the compatibility option set it for an older platform "win98". It may be related to how the scheduler allocates memory when it runs. (its probably just the scheduler application part of P3 thats a problem) Might be useful to try and locate scheduler in the P3 program folder and do the compatibility mode setting for its launch icon too.
Other causes may be restrictions in place if you are part of a windows domain network (ask your network admin) as group policy settings can prevent 16 bit applications from running.
And lastly Ive seen Group policy folder permission settings blocking users from certain windows 16 bit program modules as well, all depending on how the program was made. Talk with your network guy, ask him if you are part of a domain GPO, if yes. look into the permission issue. If this is a Stand alone home style computer, Not joined to any network / domain ect. look at my first few comments. oh ya, also verify DEP "Data Execution Prevention" is not enabled for this program.
Hope that helps,
