Just a thought as I just experienced this myself: I wasn't aware that the applications on my ipad run in the background. So when I tried repeatedly to connect - each attempt was opening a new log in to Facebook. Once I learned that I had a number of background apps running - multiple times, specifically about nine Facebook entrances - I closed them all and was able to log in immediately. I'm not sure how something very simple (turning all these apps OFF - slipped by me.) If you wish to check: double click on your top / screen side, power button. Running apps will either have a red 'X' - older ipads, or have a 'mini screen' (each for all open apps) that you can 'swipe' off. On mine it's "up". This may not be what is causing you trouble but it was an instant 'fix' for me. Hope it helps - let us know? Thanks & good luck.

I didn't ask what your ipad is specifically, but crossover is generally pretty obvious. Might IS working perfectly so I ran thru & will list my 'non-personal' settings next. If this doesn't get you linked, my suggestion is to next check your "Facebook end" (the settings) – via your computer, to make sure you aren't blocking yourself from connecting. Try this match-for-match comparison perhaps first? (Likely won't matter but this is iPad mini 2) Under the settings key (note too, that I am iCloud connected in case it has helped without my knowing). As you can tell – I am not a 'tech wiz' but got it going, so here goes: – First mention of Facebook (FB from here forward) is under NOTIFICATIONS: 'Allow' is ON; as is 'Sound'; 'Badge App'; and 'Show on Lock Screen'. – Here, my next mention in setting of FB is under PRIVACY: Facebook is ref'd under Twitter but no selection is necessary... it is 'appearing'. Further down, the next appearance of FB , under Twitter: – I select FB – which say 'Installed' at the top, followed by settings...there appears subhead: ALLOW FB TO ACCESS Two items: – Notifications (badges / sounds / banners)...diverts back to the above mentioned screens showing all 4 items ON – Background App Refresh – ON In going through to the very end, there is no other mention of selection to make that are FB related. Rather than stop and write again later - I have gone to FB through my mac to my FB general settings / security (the last item in the column on the right) to see what might be related to my connecting successfully. I must say that I am strongly leaning towards iCloud being the reason for my success – it's only been a week ago that I set my own up. ARE YOU itunes synced & iCloud signed up? It's a free-bee and I notice a log in to FB called "Apple OS integration" that isn't "me" therefore I am confident that it's the iCloud "connection" between the two - FB and computer, plus iPad mini. I think I will stop with this and if you post back with how this went – I'll be happy to look further if you still aren't successful. Let me know & good luck again!

SOURCE: Son switched on guided access on iPad and doesn't know what pass code he used. Now stuck on safari and can't get to settings to switch guided access off

To disable guided access try the following:

Triple-click the Home button and enter the passcode chosen during setup of Guided Access to unlock the device

You'll now be back to the usual behavior of iOS.

If you'd like to turn off Guided Access completely, just go back to Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access > and flip the setting to OFF. You'll need to enter the passcode again to do so.

I have a iPad Pro and my screen has changed from a full screen to one that us 1/2 full what is my problem

How to Turn Off Split Screen on iPad Split View is enabled by default on the iPad. To utilize the feature, you can drag an app from your dock to the right or left edge of your screen to open the app on a portion of the screen. If you have multiple apps open and want to close one without turning off the Split Screen or Multitasking functions in settings, you can return to a full-screen view of a single app by dragging the edge of the app you want to remove to the edge of the screen.

If, however, by "getting rid of split screen on iPad" you mean turning the feature off completely, that's something you can do in Settings. To turn off split screen on the iPad:
  • Open the Settings app on your iPad.
  • Tap General.
  • Select Multitasking & Dock.
  • Toggle off Allow Multiple Apps.
How to Get Rid of Split Screen in Safari on iPad Using split screen in Safari on iPad was a new multitasking feature for iOS 10 that continues in iOS 12. This allows you to open two separate Safari web pages simultaneously on your iPad. To start, open Safari on the iPad. You can then open a second Safari tab in split screen in one of four ways:
  • Tap and hold a link; select Open in Split View.
  • Tap Command+N on an external hardware keyboard to invoke Split View.
  • Drag a tab from its space to either the left or right side of the screen to open it in split screen.
  • Tap and hold the icon that opens your tabs view in Safari. It looks like two overlapping squares. When you tap and hold, options will pop-up. Select Open Split View.
But what if you want to get rid of split screen in Safari? What if you're done using the two tabs-how do you turn split screen on the iPad off? To close split screen in Safari on your iPad, you can do one of the following things:
  • Drag the tab(s) from one of the screens to the other. Once the last tab has been dragged to the opposite side, Safari will return to full screen, which will turn off split screen.
  • Or, you can tap and hold the tabs icon, which looks like two overlapping squares. Then select Merge All Tabs. This will merge all your Safari tabs back into a single window, which gets rid of split screen.

Try downloading the Facebook app for iPad. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/facebook/id284882215?mt=8 It should work better and faster, and won't give you any problems uploading pictures from your iPad.

Safari cannot connect to server on my ipad

Try rebooting your ipad and see if the problem still persists, if not then try go into settings -> WiFi -> then click your network your network and click forget Network, then try to connect to the network again. Or if you use your sim's network then turn off then turn on the mobile network option in the settings menu.
If it still doesnt work, then something is wrong with your WiFi or mobile network. Best thing would be to lodge a complaint or wait for a few days as these things usually sort themselves out on their own. Hope I helped :) !

How remove item iPad reading list?

Swipe from right to left.

If that doesn't work, close Safari and reboot your iPad.
Double tap tap the home button and then swipe up on the Safari preview screen that you see right above the Safari icon. Swiping up on that screen will close the app.
Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple Logo appears on the screen. After the iPad starts up, try again.
