Just a thought as I just experienced this myself: I wasn't aware that the applications on my ipad run in the background. So when I tried repeatedly to connect - each attempt was opening a new log in to Facebook. Once I learned that I had a number of background apps running - multiple times, specifically about nine Facebook entrances - I closed them all and was able to log in immediately. I'm not sure how something very simple (turning all these apps OFF - slipped by me.) If you wish to check: double click on your top / screen side, power button. Running apps will either have a red 'X' - older ipads, or have a 'mini screen' (each for all open apps) that you can 'swipe' off. On mine it's "up". This may not be what is causing you trouble but it was an instant 'fix' for me. Hope it helps - let us know? Thanks & good luck.
I went ahead & closed all apps but this didn't fix my issue in opening up FB. Thank~you anyway Lesley??
I am going to go thru my settings right now & see what I have filled in for anythng facebook related that might help you to use to compare to....will post back here shortly. (I am also ipad / safari / facebook often .... might help.)
I didn't ask what your ipad is specifically, but crossover is generally pretty obvious. Might IS working perfectly so I ran thru & will list my 'non-personal' settings next. If this doesn't get you linked, my suggestion is to next check your "Facebook end" (the settings) – via your computer, to make sure you aren't blocking yourself from connecting. Try this match-for-match comparison perhaps first? (Likely won't matter but this is iPad mini 2) Under the settings key (note too, that I am iCloud connected in case it has helped without my knowing). As you can tell – I am not a 'tech wiz' but got it going, so here goes: – First mention of Facebook (FB from here forward) is under NOTIFICATIONS: 'Allow' is ON; as is 'Sound'; 'Badge App'; and 'Show on Lock Screen'. – Here, my next mention in setting of FB is under PRIVACY: Facebook is ref'd under Twitter but no selection is necessary... it is 'appearing'. Further down, the next appearance of FB , under Twitter: – I select FB – which say 'Installed' at the top, followed by settings...there appears subhead: ALLOW FB TO ACCESS Two items: – Notifications (badges / sounds / banners)...diverts back to the above mentioned screens showing all 4 items ON – Background App Refresh – ON In going through to the very end, there is no other mention of selection to make that are FB related. Rather than stop and write again later - I have gone to FB through my mac to my FB general settings / security (the last item in the column on the right) to see what might be related to my connecting successfully. I must say that I am strongly leaning towards iCloud being the reason for my success – it's only been a week ago that I set my own up. ARE YOU itunes synced & iCloud signed up? It's a free-bee and I notice a log in to FB called "Apple OS integration" that isn't "me" therefore I am confident that it's the iCloud "connection" between the two - FB and computer, plus iPad mini. I think I will stop with this and if you post back with how this went – I'll be happy to look further if you still aren't successful. Let me know & good luck again!

To disable guided access try the following:
Triple-click the Home button and enter the passcode chosen during setup of Guided Access to unlock the device
You'll now be back to the usual behavior of iOS.
If you'd like to turn off Guided Access completely, just go back to Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access > and flip the setting to OFF. You'll need to enter the passcode again to do so.
