HP C6280 has false error for empty Light Cyan Cartridge
I am getting realy fed up with my C6280 printer! I have an error saying that the ink Cartridge Light Cyan is empty or removed (But I just put a brand new one in and it is full). I have tried removing and reinstalling the new cartridge many times to no avail.
You can see by looking at the new cartridge that it is making electrical contact on with all four pins too.
What do you do with it?
This printer has only had the black replaced once and the Light Cyan today and is like new otherwise!

I would go to HP and update the C6280 printers drivers. It sounds like there is an issue with the driver. It there is not an update then I would uninstall the driver and reinstall.
Hello,
The ink failure error is caused by air in the ink feed tubes in your
printer. This happens when the ink in your cartridge runs out and the
printer sucks up air instead of ink. This is a very common problem with this series of printer. We have a step by step repair
solution for this error posted on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com click on the printer repair pages and follow the links to your printer series.
I want to print in black only and have changed the properties to grayscale, but it still won't let me print in black only. The magenta is out and it says I must replace, but i don't want color! help!
Printer doesn't identify the ink accurately all these are controlled by software only.So it is showing your black cartridge is empty but trace amount of ink actually remained,by this you are getting black and white prints correctly. After the consumption of that trace amount of ink it may print black text as a greenish-brown because printing taking place only by means of color cartridges. So if you observed blurred text or greenish-brown text, now you can replace your ink cartridges.
hello,,, maybe your problem is found the cartridge due to saying the cartridges is missing or empty try to put the cartridge into other printer same your printer model of even not same but same size,, to prove it is not your cartridge problem......... i think your cartridge something have a damage
thank you hope i can help you... have a good day!!!!!!!

Press and release in sequence "Red Eye Removal", "Print Photos", "Red Eye Removal" Display should say "Support" and display the FW rev XXXXX. 3) Press Right Arrow button until "Reset Menu" is displayed. Press OK. 4) Press Right arrow until "Semi full Reset" is displayed. 5) Press OK. Now, check the functionality of the All-in-One. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
Have you replaced the cartridge containing the cyan color in your printer?
You can deplete a single color. But if you think it is a false error message, I would try cleaning loose ink from the tray and cartridge itself. Especially on the contact areas. Brother printers are inexpensive and work well for small jobs, but ultimately jam, clog, and sometimes even break when run hard or doing large volumes.
