Re: Humidity-Controlled Crisper Drawers
If you will post the complete model number including the string of digits starting with P, (if it has these) I will look it up and see what I can find.
You can usually go to sears.com, click on parts, enter the model number from the fridge decal, and pull up a parts diagram of the fridge.

Based off what you have described the door on your Frigidaire refrigerator is stuck and will not open. It sounds like you may have condensation on your gasket and it has frozen the door shut. The best thing to do is disconnect power from the refrigerator for four to six hours and that should break up any ice holding the door closed. I hope this is helpful information. -Matt
I understand that you are receiving water at the bottom of your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FPUI2188LF. What can cause this is either humidity coming from outside your refrigerator or maybe from the crisper drawers. Make sure your crisper drawers are set for a high humidity. Another thing that can cause moisture build-up at the bottom of your appliance is not covering your foods. Make sure that all foods and drinks are covered to cut down on moisture floating around inside your appliance. Hope this is helpful.
Hello. Remove the entire drawer and put it in a large plastic bag. Add two cups of ammonia and close the bag up tight with a twist tie. Leave the bag in a sink or a tub or out doors in case it leaks. The next day remove the drawer, rinse it thoroughly to remove the ammonia smell and the slider will be as clean as it is going to get. Regards, Joe

Good day, One user claims that the return air vents or vent located at the bottom rear of the fresh food compartment, have collected enough junk to block the cold air from returning to the freezer compartment. You can clean them out but I cannot verify that solution.
The crispers are located in the coldest part of the fresh food compartment. This problem can occur when the machine gets light usage especially in colder weather, when the machine running time drops and the air in the fresh food stratifies, causing to cold air to pool in the bottom.
Normal may no longer be normal. Controls by their design will tend to run colder as they age. You might try tweaking the control warmer. Patience and time are the most important tool you have to work with in dealing with this issue.
