All dryers have one or 2 safety devices mostly near the vent pipe. They are rated for 350f and are tied into the motor circuit so if a dryer overheats (unless it is gas) it won't run. The dryer posted looks like an electrolux and the fuse on it mounts in the upper right hand corner. My repair page on electrolux at the base of my blog https://sites.google.com/site/sublimeappliancerepair/washer-will-not-spin/agitator-woes/dryer-will-not-work

Reg-94 bk is not heating no volts at Element and no continuity in element as well

Go to your power panel and reset the circuit breaker for the dryer. Then recheck the volts at the wall socket. If you only get 120 but not 220 then replace the breaker. No continuity on the element says it's burned out. That definitely needs replacement.

Dryer stoped heating. checked element with meter seems to be fine not sure how to test sensors

The sensors are just thermal switches that are normally closed (zero ohms) when cold. Be sure to check for 220 VAC across the two slanted prongs on the power plug (when plugged in). If nothing, check the twin breakers in the house panel--turn off, then on. Recheck power at the socket. Hope this helps!

My GE profile model dpgt750ec dryer will not turn on - checked breaker okay, light comes on inside the door, but no power when attempting to turn on

Recheck breaker turn the breaker all the way off and then reset the breaker. Then try a different cycle. like air only or something different than you normally use and see if it works then. Motor could be out or The control switch. Make sure you are looking at a double pole 220 breaker. hope this helps.

I have a Whirpool LER6620PQ0 dryer. It runs but does not heat. I just replaced the heating element, and it still is not heating. What else can it be?

Make sure that you 220 volts AC across the two slanted slots of the power socket--if zero or near it, one of the twin breakers in the house electrical panel for the dryer may have failed. Try pushing the breaker off, then back on and recheck for voltage at the socket. If now ok, try the dryer again. If not ok, then possibly one of the breakers has failed. Hope this helps!

Electric dryer tumbles but no longer heats.

The first thing to check is the house electrical panel to see if the dual breakers for the dryer are tripped. Push off, then on--recheck the dryer. If still nothing, check for ~230 volts AC at the dryer power socket--two slanted slots. If nothing or near zero, remove the dryer power plug, and recheck the breakers again--if tripped again, there is a short in the dryer--usually the heating element located behind the drum. The drum must be removed to service the heater.

No heat, and my drum is cracked, too!

Measure the voltage (with a voltmeter) at the two slanted slots in the dryer power plug which should read ~220 volts AC. If at or near zero, there is no power from the breaker pair in the house electrical panel. Go to the panel and push the breaker pair to off, then on. Recheck the dryer socket again. If still zero reading, one or both breakers are bad (assuming that you didn't plug the dryer back in after checking the voltage). If you did, remove the dryer plug, reset the breakers as before, and recheck at the socket once again. If you now have voltage, suspect a short circuit within the dryer--likely the heating element. You will need to remove the drum to access the element area. Make sure that the entire air vent area is open and clean the filter in detergent and hot water. Replace the drum if it is catching on clothes

No power @ Dryer receptacle

Turn off breaker, Check and tighten lugs that feed dryer circuit at the breaker and at the receptacle, If that doesn't fix your problem you ll have to trace the wiring from breaker to dryer for broken wires.

The dryer is not drying but has power

First thing to check is look for ~220 volts AC across the two slanted connections in the dryer power socket. You need a voltmeter for this. If no 220 volts, check the house electrical panel to see if the dryer circuit breakers (pair) have tripped--push them OFF, then ON. Recheck for 220 volt at the dryer socket. If voltage is still missing, you may have one or two bad breakers--replace the pair. If ok, try the dryer. If it starts, then quits, you have a short inside the dryer--likely the heating element. Nearly full tear down to get to the dryer element in back of the drum. Weigh repair cost versus a new dryer. Hope this helps!

Hello mdonettaYou said,

yes, try unplugging the power cord or turning off the breaker for 5 minutes. Either will due. Some times the system needs to be reset!
If this does not work there are internal fuses that can be replaced!

Let me know how it goes!
